Search Discuss-O-Mat

I was trying to use the Search Discuss-O-Mat feature.

Kept getting "no match" messages. As a final test I searched on "Maytag" and then "Lady Kenmore" I also got a "no match" message which did not seem to make sense.

Is this feature not working, or am I not using it correctly ???

Let the entire page load, then be sure to click with your mouse anywhere on the list of threads page/window before trying to search. This also applies in the archive section but those pages can take longer to load so be sure to wait until it's done.

gansky1 - thank you for taking the trouble to reply. I tried what I thought you were telling me - but it did not work for me. My problem, I seem to more and more frequently misunderstand the world

I've never been able to make it work either- thought it was like some other forums I can recall where the feature was never completely implemented or was disabled somewhere along the line.

Well...before, the Search feature looked in everything, including deleted threads. I mentioned that to Robert one night and he fixed the problem. Perhaps that's why it doesn't work?

You could always do a site-specific search on Google instead.

Nope, it is simply not working, when I have some extra time, I'll look into what the problem is. Probably not anytime soon though as its low priority.
