Still nothing like the great search engines that listed the items chronologically so that you weren't sorting through all kinds of older and expired posts, and with thumbnail photos so that you could open only those that were of interest... my understanding is that craigslist is really going after them to stop providing these applications that make craigslist actually useful instead of a cumbersome search within only a very small geographic area. But the search engines that consolidate listings from multiple locations may help buyers and sellers find eachother... and therefore might provide meaningful competition with another site that makes lots and lots of money from fees...
I used and liked CraigsPal, which was a program you ran from your computer. However, earlier this year the CraigsPal creator received a cease-and-desist letter from Craigslist, so he shut it down. Even though it was a program that ran on an individual's computer, it must have run somehow through his servers. When he shut it down, it no longer worked.
It is still not clear to me why it is a problem for Craigslist to have a compiler run a national search.
Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
I think it was user error with my Google search. I put a space after the colon.
I'm looking for something locally that is within reasonable range for the '50 GMC. The machine currently listed in Santa Rosa is both out of my price range and farther away than I'm comfortable taking the truck.
I put "<a name="start_42421.624199">Easy Spindrier" into www.searchtempest.com, selected "appliances" and found a fair number of listings. You can designate how far you are willing to go. One of my favorite CL sites. </a>
Well, I didn't mean to send this thread so far off course but what's done is done, so . . .
What's up with that Easy in Santa Rosa? It looks newer, not older (certainly not 40's) or is it? I thought the older models had the large levers on the front and the later ones had the controls on the dial. Where are the spigots? Do only the models with hinged lids get those?
looks like the drain hose plus two others are inside the tub, you might need to re post this, (with the C.L add) so the "Easy Guys" can tell you the details (I don't think its from the forties either, but)
Nice clean machine though !
From what I understand Easy had more than one model available at a time in the Spindrier line. The ones without faucets and spray cone in the spinner basket were the lower priced models. Here is a pic of the machine and link to ad.
OK, so the type of Easy to own (or that I would be interested in) is one with the "Automatic Spray Rinse" designation. I can't get behind, or I guess in front of, a coneless spinner basket.
No need to start a separate thread on the Santa Rosa machine. It's not a model I'd want and is out of my range in more than one context.
glad you stopped by for this!
I'm curious, with no facets ect, how dose this machine operate?
I'm guessing that the operator uses a hose from the sink for fill, and also same hose for spin rinse? if so, dose the operator have an option as to where the rinse spin water go's ? (back into tub, or down the drain)
Has been got at by CL it seems as well. Over the past few months their search of CL hasn't been what it once was and they claim it's due to changes in the former.
Seems CL just doesn't want anything or anyone to create an easy and logical way to search an entire area.
