Looking for a white 24 inch Maytag, Bosch, Whirpool and may consider GE or Kitchenaid to replace a Maytag MDB4409P AWG that came with the house. Makes a groaning sound like a motor or pump going out. I took it apart, cleaned up the screen, and looked for debris but I think the machine is on its way out. Appliances are in short supply and many are on backorder Only one I can available out of this list is the Bosch 300 series SHEM63W52N. Know it's not as quiet and doesn't dry as well as 500 or 800 but does it clean well and have good reliability?

That Maytag Maytag MDB4409P AWG is a great machine and clean well. I do hate plastic tubs metal tub Maytag would be my pick with one of the Bosch's being my second pick. Whirlpool is very similar to Maytag but has less warranty.

Looking for:

Bosch 300 series SHEM63W52N

Bosch 800 series SHEM78Z52N

Maytag MDB8959SKW or MDB4949SKW

Miele G 4948 SCU AM

Called Aztec Appliance, Humphrey Appliance Appliance Alley, BB Appliance, Pacific Sales/ Best Buy, and the Big Box stores.

will try replacing the pump

Thanks, I'll try taking it apart and seeing what I need. We have a APCO - Appliance Parts Company nearby in El Cajon or I can buy online
https://www.maytagreplacementparts.com/ online. May be the circulation pump since it groans while running and is ok draining.

Parts for Maytag Jet Clean or Whirpools may work.

Agree with John L

This is a point voyager platform and there are loads of pumps on eBay and they are reasonably priced even when new.

The main pump motors do start getting noisy as they age. Sometimes the shaft seals will leak slightly and then get water into the bearings. That happened to My KA machine after 4 years. Had a spare, used motor that I swapped into the machine nearly 10 years ago as it was Thanksgiving week and it has been working fine all this time.
KA did warranty the original one under their 5 yr replacement warranty but they were on B/O so I had no choice. That new pump is still in the original box it came in.

Those are fine cleaning machines and you won't regret investing in a new pump.
I would even bet some of our members have some hanging about that you could get from one of them. Sold my used spare a few months ago.
