In the late 70's or early 80's I had a Sear's canister with with a powerhead. It was off white square shaped, the attachments were stored on board and I think on the top right hand corner of the machine it 4.0 amps and on the left corner it said Sears and something else that I can't remember.

It was one of the best canister vacs I had ever used at that time. When I moved I left it with my mother and she used it for years. She gave it away when something went wrong with the motor for the powerhead. That's when she bought a Singer upright.

Anyone remember this model?

Yes I've had a few of them, plenty still around showing up in thrift stores etc.. The one serious fault with them though are the hoses.. they're are highly susceptible to splitting near the handle and a replacement costs about $90,, or the cost of duct tape.

They're still around out here....

...yep....they were a good machine. I've seen and used several, all with tape on the house near the handle! :)
