Sears had anything we needed. Auto repair and parts, you could even have air conditioning installed. Tires, radios, batteries, insurance, optical exams and glasses, flooring, furniture, household appliances and plumbing fixtures, paint and wall covering, attire and alterations, window treatments, hardware and tools, garden supplies and lawn mowers, snow blowers, stereo and television, records and tapes. Shoe repair, candy and nuts, toys, jewelry and watches, kitchen ware and table wear. The Christmas wish book catalog was always fun. I think they even sold swimming pools.

Indeed they had quite a selection of products and services to choose from.
I trusted their line of Craftsman tools, with the lifetime guarentee, "If the break, we'll replace them".
I've got plenty of Craftsman tools, still in good condition.
Wrenches, sockets, etc.
And a terrific 1971 3/8" reversable, variable speed power drill in perfect shape.

I once had an older socket wrench that had a sloppy ratchet, took it in to Sears, they gave me a brand new one, I didn't even have to show them a receipt!
THAT... was an era of quality products and good American corporations!
