nothing major but on the dryer -

somebody has gone and switched out one of the control dials on the dryer. Perhaps it was the temp control dial. The one there certainly doesn't belong to that machine.

Are you referring to the far left knob that is all chrome? If I was to guess, I thought it was the other one (pictured)

Yes Phil- the chrome one

the one you posted right above this for the signal control looks to be the right one....the one on the left looks like a knob that would come off of a black console wood topped center dial era machine during the last phase of the BD machines.

Yes, the left-side auxiliary knob on the dryer (presumably Air/Heat) is the wrong style.

The water level on my grandmother's 1970 KM 70 broke and the replacement was for the 800-model ... was indexed properly to match the level control and worked fine but didn't fit the console -- literally, as the 800 has a recess into which the knob(s) fit.

Thanks Glenn and Rick... Looking at it closer that knobs sticks out pretty far. I guess that knob was prone to being stripped or whoever used it didn't know their strength.LOL.
