Today I purchased a mid 60's Sears range (it looks like the flair) And tried looking up online who the manufacturer was, but it showed no listing for my number. The model number is 101.9036640. Any idea who made it?

Looked at my usual reference (Appliance411.com), but didn't find that code listed. My Aunt Julie had one of these, with the lower metal cabinet in Coppertone, until their home was decimated by fire in March 1988. I'm thinking it could have been made by either Roper or Tappan. Would be interesting to find out for sure.

This one is Coppertone. I like the fact that it has an oven on the bottom as well. It has the pull out burners like the Flair, but the top oven door opens to the side instead of lifting from the front.

Sears stoves!

My neighbor had a Kenmore range when I was a kid,and I always liked it,they get a bad rap for not baking well, but really, they are SLOW to preheat,my experience with them has been they do fine as long as you dont open the door until the approximate baking time is up,since they only heat from the bottom element, there is more of a lag in recovery of the set temp...then the cake falls!!!if you take this into consideration, they will turn out as nice a pound cake as anything.

Humidifier

I'm fixing things at a friend's home in Decatur, IL and there is what looks like a 1970s Sears whole-house humidifier on the furnace. Model 303-93750. This thing is a complicated beast. Who made it? I'm working on seeing if it runs.
