Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Maybe they don't want to because of cost, liquids are heavy.

Meanwhile, you are not alone - Everybody has a gripe with Sears at one time or another.

Continue on with your BAD service Sears, and then you will be no more!!!Wether it be batteries, laundry detergent,whatever-if the buyer purchased the item--DELIVOR it!!!thats what OTHER stores do!There is a sears place here in Greenville-the shopping center it used to be in is no more.but the Sears place remains.Go in to look around-it looks depressing.Wonder how long it will last?Would I want to buy a major item there? Not sure.Years ago did buy a DD washer from them.when the washer was delivored--the control panel was bent and dented-the washer still worked. The delivoryman did call Sears and they gave me something like $50 off.Would they do that today? And when the machine broke a week later-they did send a technician out promply to fix it.Guess that was the sears we USED to know.

You're very welcome Freddy :) I'm pretty sure I've seen the other formulas of Rinso at the 99 cent store by my house. I'll check it out for you. And for a brand that's available at a store that cheap, the Rinso actually works pretty good. I usually get it when I'm in a bind. I think you'll be happy with it.

Well Freddy I would gladly send you the detergent from Sears but I am also not going to buy anything from them because of the service dept and my dishwasher the repairman broke the door and sthey are not going to fix it I am going to have to file a damage claim to get help. You are right Sears sucks I knew when K-Mart bought them that was the death of them and it is not far off. Carl

Excuse me for delay on response.

Thank you  again Vern, I appreciate it alot!

Carl thank you as well, let's see for next time, I would be interested more in the Best choiche powder also and maybe some others particular "typical" ones available there, also I would ask to you if there in Memphis you can get some Mexican Maestro limpio powder and some Lirio, also I loved  Arcoiris so I'd like to get it again.

Hope we can gear up for another swap soon!

I got two 15 loads bags of Spanish Dixan powder when I went to spain last week for work for 2 days ( I can only bring few products as I fly  with Ryanair and can only travel with hand luggage to get cost down), would you be interested in a bag? I can save it for you for next swap.....

I'm going to send a message to you shortly anyway....

Oh talking about the Sears story, well this is just sad, as for your story of the DW door, this is just absurd, how many days are you waiting? And how many days you will have to wait after claim? Hope they will solve the issue quickly after claim! Didn't think Sears got  just so bad ! BTW   I didn't get my damn refund yet! I'm going to write yet another time to customer service to see......I'm starting to wonder if I will see my money back....Even thought to file a claim with ICPEN for this matter....
Hope everything will solve easily without others time loss....

Thanks all again!

Freddy that sounds like a plan. Spanish Dixan sounds good please save me some. My partner just the other night told me to go and buy a new dishwasher but not utill I pester the hell out of Sears. I guess that he is tired of hearing me bitch about it. Also the fact that I hate to wash dishes so bad that I gather them up and take them to my parents house to wash them in the dishwasher. Thanks again for thinking about me and the Dixan I love it.

Carl, do yourself a favor and see if you can get a good older one from Craigslist or an AW.org member near you. They clean very well and the cycles are much shorter. We use the Kitchenaid KDS-20 as a daily driver, the Mobile Maid about once a month to keep the seals nice, and the Conover or Thor for the heck of it once in a while.

I'm Sorry....

I am just now seeing this and I have not had a chance to read everyone's comments. I hate that you had such bad luck with your order. My Sears Ultra Plus is about gone and I need to replace it. Hope you get some satisfaction.

Andy

Sears Powder

Thanks to all the positive comments (and a high rating from Consumer Reports), I broke down this week and went to my local Sears store to buy some Ultra Plus in the orange box ($11.99 for the 180 load size, which should last me a good while). But what struck me when I went to my local Sears is that it was nearly empty; the appliance salespeople were standing around with nothing to do. I just grabbed a box of detergent and went to the main counter for checkout.
Now I understand what Stephen Colbert meant the other night when he was surprised people STILL shopped at Sears!

Andy, Thanks! Just placed an order of 30 lbs from Thelatinproducts  shop for some mexican detegents with refunded money and even got some left .

Allen, yes I use Ryanair, but you know since the price is so cheap you just cannot expect much from it's service.......but since I paid good money to for those detergents and service I expected a much different treatment.

Andy.....

30 lbs is the order I placed with Thelatinproducts shop and yes, of course the Sears Ultra even  the bigger box is way less than 30 lbs! Not sure of the bucket though....

To purchase and ship 30 lbs of mexican detergents  the online store "thelatinproducts" asked  less than sears for a 180 load box and a liquid !
I had 26 euros left with which I purchased some dryer sheets through ebay.....
Infact  as I mentioned shipping and handling with Sears was very high and they have been able to provide a crappy service anyway..... if it can be called "service".....

Had these money charged on my prepaid card so I needed to make them out quickly as I know it was cloned and so others could steal my money  from it  so always charge it just  at the  time of the need with the amount I've to spend in that moment....

This is the card I use for internet purchase only......

Still Shopped at Sears....

If you will notice, Sears has priced theirselves just about out of existance!!! Their appliance department has about 20 or so dishwashers, all priced 350.00 up to the thousands!! same with everything else, used to be you went to Sears for a bargain, now they are trying to be a super high end store, with pitiful service, gone are the days of buying a Kenmore washer with more features than a Maytag for 100 or more dollars less than the Maytag!!

First of all, let me apologize for getting off the thread topic. Thing is I bought a short tub well known brand name dishwasher (not at Sears) because my repairman told me the short tubs give less trouble. I paid about $350 for it and I have not been satisfied with it. The racks are not user friendly and I don't exactly know how to explian that, except that it's hard to load dishes in it. The tilt is wrong for things that collect water. The top rack in particular. In their quest to make an energy efficient product, the manufacturer created a machine that leaves puddles of water on top of the mugs and glasses. The silverware caddy attaches to the door and the silverware is never completely dry. I pull the door open and unload the silverware first towelling off eveything before I put it back. I then unload the bottom rack. The plates are usually dry. Casserole dishes usually have a little bit water that has to be towelled out. The top rack is the booger. All that usually has to be towelled off. The hot water heater's turn up. I run the water at the sink and get it hot before turning on the machine. Waste there with water. I select heated dry. Sani-cycle is a little better, but there's still puddling. My neighbor next door says 'Andy, you can't have energy efficiency and everything.' I guess she's right. It doesn't matter wheter it came from Sears or what. It's a piece of junk and I wish I had my old Maytag back. Wish I had bought a tall tub now. Would be curious to see if I have the same problem. The good thing is that new dishwashers don't last very long anyway and I will be shopping for a new one in the next few years.

Sears is definitely hit and miss lately. I walked into one store in Austin Texas and it was horrible. Dirty, dingy, and one customer service person talking on her cell phone about her plans for the night. I guess she had alot of time on her hands as I didn't see any other customers on the floor.
I went shopping for new bedding and I swore I'd never think twice about coming back. Packages of sheets were torn open, ripped, and they were just left there.

The main store in San Antonio however is kept up. It was clean and bright, but the merchandise (selection) was below par. Service was much better.

If they don't turn things around, they aren't going to be in business much longer. They could start with whoever selects and buys their merchandise AND janitoral dept. overhaul.

They have narrowly escaped it before. They merged with Kmart so the two could prop each other up financially. I don't know how our Kmart stays in business. Sort of like Sears, there are never a lot of cars in the parking lot. I have to pass Kmart to get to Publix. Hate to see the two drying up.
