Sears Powder

Thanks to all the positive comments (and a high rating from Consumer Reports), I broke down this week and went to my local Sears store to buy some Ultra Plus in the orange box ($11.99 for the 180 load size, which should last me a good while). But what struck me when I went to my local Sears is that it was nearly empty; the appliance salespeople were standing around with nothing to do. I just grabbed a box of detergent and went to the main counter for checkout.
Now I understand what Stephen Colbert meant the other night when he was surprised people STILL shopped at Sears!

Andy, Thanks! Just placed an order of 30 lbs from Thelatinproducts  shop for some mexican detegents with refunded money and even got some left .

Allen, yes I use Ryanair, but you know since the price is so cheap you just cannot expect much from it's service.......but since I paid good money to for those detergents and service I expected a much different treatment.

Andy.....

30 lbs is the order I placed with Thelatinproducts shop and yes, of course the Sears Ultra even  the bigger box is way less than 30 lbs! Not sure of the bucket though....

To purchase and ship 30 lbs of mexican detergents  the online store "thelatinproducts" asked  less than sears for a 180 load box and a liquid !
I had 26 euros left with which I purchased some dryer sheets through ebay.....
Infact  as I mentioned shipping and handling with Sears was very high and they have been able to provide a crappy service anyway..... if it can be called "service".....

Had these money charged on my prepaid card so I needed to make them out quickly as I know it was cloned and so others could steal my money  from it  so always charge it just  at the  time of the need with the amount I've to spend in that moment....

This is the card I use for internet purchase only......

Still Shopped at Sears....

If you will notice, Sears has priced theirselves just about out of existance!!! Their appliance department has about 20 or so dishwashers, all priced 350.00 up to the thousands!! same with everything else, used to be you went to Sears for a bargain, now they are trying to be a super high end store, with pitiful service, gone are the days of buying a Kenmore washer with more features than a Maytag for 100 or more dollars less than the Maytag!!

First of all, let me apologize for getting off the thread topic. Thing is I bought a short tub well known brand name dishwasher (not at Sears) because my repairman told me the short tubs give less trouble. I paid about $350 for it and I have not been satisfied with it. The racks are not user friendly and I don't exactly know how to explian that, except that it's hard to load dishes in it. The tilt is wrong for things that collect water. The top rack in particular. In their quest to make an energy efficient product, the manufacturer created a machine that leaves puddles of water on top of the mugs and glasses. The silverware caddy attaches to the door and the silverware is never completely dry. I pull the door open and unload the silverware first towelling off eveything before I put it back. I then unload the bottom rack. The plates are usually dry. Casserole dishes usually have a little bit water that has to be towelled out. The top rack is the booger. All that usually has to be towelled off. The hot water heater's turn up. I run the water at the sink and get it hot before turning on the machine. Waste there with water. I select heated dry. Sani-cycle is a little better, but there's still puddling. My neighbor next door says 'Andy, you can't have energy efficiency and everything.' I guess she's right. It doesn't matter wheter it came from Sears or what. It's a piece of junk and I wish I had my old Maytag back. Wish I had bought a tall tub now. Would be curious to see if I have the same problem. The good thing is that new dishwashers don't last very long anyway and I will be shopping for a new one in the next few years.

Sears is definitely hit and miss lately. I walked into one store in Austin Texas and it was horrible. Dirty, dingy, and one customer service person talking on her cell phone about her plans for the night. I guess she had alot of time on her hands as I didn't see any other customers on the floor.
I went shopping for new bedding and I swore I'd never think twice about coming back. Packages of sheets were torn open, ripped, and they were just left there.

The main store in San Antonio however is kept up. It was clean and bright, but the merchandise (selection) was below par. Service was much better.

If they don't turn things around, they aren't going to be in business much longer. They could start with whoever selects and buys their merchandise AND janitoral dept. overhaul.

They have narrowly escaped it before. They merged with Kmart so the two could prop each other up financially. I don't know how our Kmart stays in business. Sort of like Sears, there are never a lot of cars in the parking lot. I have to pass Kmart to get to Publix. Hate to see the two drying up.

Carl, do yourself a favor and see if you can get a good olde

Allen, yes I use Ryanair, but you know since the price is so cheap you just cannot expect much from it's service.......

And I love all the adverts plastered on the overhead bins and even on the tray tables on RyanAir. It makes it look so trashy.

I rather feel like a clandestine latin illegal immigrant ins

Usually when I fly with ryanair I cannot see the stickers on overhead bins....all I can see are my knees almost inside my mouth! LOL
Too little and close sits for me being 74.07 inches tall,  fortunately is a short travel, BTW will have to leave for Madrid this weekend but I'll fly with another company.....
