Secret Santa

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I sent mine out right after Thanksgiving - with a stern notice to not open it until Christmas! (Of course, I don't think I could exercise that much self-control, so I don't blame my person if they opened early ;-)

Mine went out today.....

And hopefully they will get it by Saturday. I really hope this person likes all the goodies in that box!

Ooooooooh....I even had to call Santa Veggie today and ask if we were suppose to "reveal" who we were...he didn't answer the phone.

Well it won't be too hard to figure out who sent it. LOL

As for the reveal,

I do it in the package, on the card.

Sending mine out Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Had to wait for the jar from church.

At my other board, it varies. This year, my Secret Santa put my screen name as my middle name. By doing that, I knew this was my Secret Santa from the other board, but I didn't know who she was until I opened it.

Got some good stuff, too.

A Santa sculpture with an internal music box, and three Pampered Chef items... the Garlic Press, the Measure-All (been wanting one,) and the Avocado Peeler (wtf?)

I was very happy with this package!

I kinda stand out....

Being one of the few females on this board...

So when they see the card signed by Mrs. Clause from Texas...
and not from the Belle from Bellville, they will know it's not from Venus. LOL

My greatest challenge was shopping for someone who I have never talked to, emailed, met...etc...and without giving anything away...their profile made it even more difficult for me.

It was something in the last part of their profile, that got me to doing my homework on what this person would like, and their interests.

I like what I got them...so hopefully they will too. It's one heavy ass box.

It's one heavy @$$ box.

MM:

Did you ship Oprah to them? Or did you happen to shop at the Pink Pussycat Boutique (again) this year? I mean the gift I got from you a ways back in real handy. *LOL*

Love ya. Mean it.

(ducks and runs)

Togs, stand up here and take it like a man

LOL LOL

*slaps Togs for the helluvit*

I've overspent on my credit line at the PPB this year, so I had to shop at more G rated stores....boring...YES...and disappointing.

But my reputation for sending out such vulgar gifts was saved, and I sleep better at nights.

Steve, I am sending you a 2007 Bible verse of the day Calendar. Read it....and repent on a daily basis. ;-)

Love ya back...mean it...LOL

If I revealed what I did with my Secret Santa package, then the recipient would know who it was from!

Maytagmom:

That's the test I use when I buy a gift for someone, Is this something I would like to have? If the answer is yes, chances are your person will be thrilled too. If the answer was no, chances are it'll be in the next garage sale!

Going out on Monday

Well just finished all my shopping today and everything will be in the mail on Monday. Nothing like waiting til the last minute. Luckily it does not have to far to travel, I think she will be happy with all of the goodies I am sending!!!

Mine went out today

And the line at the Post Office was not pretty.

As for The Reveal (as they say on Trading Places), it's really up to each person. You may reveal or not as you see fit, but it usually doesn't take much brainwork to figger it out.

To be honest, I think The Blab is the most fun part of the whole process!

I can't wait to see the NEXT Secret Santa thread, what did everybody receive from their Secret Santa!

Since this is the first time I am playing in the Secret Santa event, I would like to know if you are "matched" both ways with someone, meaning is the person who you are sending your gift to sending a gift to you, or somebody else?

Since we are spending Christmas away from home if our gift doesn't arrive before the 21st, we won't see it until after the first of the year!

It's all random

As far as I can remember (which isn't very far...) no two people are Secret Santa for each other. If that makes sense.

Since it was a random drawing, I suppose it *could* happen, but I don't think it did.

See? This is why I find The Blab so much fun!

Amazing Delivery

Last Thursday night we had Hurricane 2 force winds followed by an extreme cold snap while a million and a half people are left without power. The job of navigating the city with no working lights was unbearably slow and tedious. Friday, I spent 7 hours picking up shingles, branches and debris. Late in the afternoon, the mailman brought me a box from my Secret Santa. That evening, wrapped in blankets and by candle light I unpacked the booty. The volume of gifts was amazing and the cost of shipping nearly exceeded the limit for the gift exchange. There was candy, designer ornaments, a beautifully illustrated book detail the history of Maytag and counter top saucepan with glass lid and detachable control! It was a generous, thoughtful, amazing box. Everything was wrapped individually as well. I got power back yesterday and have just been catching up with posts in my absence. We have another predicted for tonight, so if the lights go out again, thank you to my Secret Santa and a very Merry Christmas to you all!

SURPRISE!!

So I've been spending on ebay lately... ALOT...too much...so I just kinda figured the box waiting for me today was some more ebay loot...
So I opened it without even looking at the return address...

{insert 5-year old girl shriek here}

I'm lucky to know my Santa as a friend, and boy does he know me!!
So to my Santa I say a huge thanks, you generousity and thoughtfulness touch my heart, and I am so very blessed to know you and call you my friend.
I'll do a reveal after I get a chance to talk to him...

Re: Received my Secret Santa Gift:

My Secret Santa Gift arrived on Wednesday, December 20th. I would like to thank my Secret Santa for what they sent to me, although I haven't opened the actual Gift as of yet. I did open the Christmas Card and I also did some checking under the Address Label, although seeing what was under my Address Label, my Secret Santa Gift could very likely be from either of the 2-Addresses shown To/From.

I would really like to know who my Secret Santa was and would appreciate an E-Mail from them, besides getting to know someone else, who seems to be a newcomber to the Appliance Club Site.

Peace, Blessings and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Steve

I just ran the tracking number

of the Secret Santa package I sent on Tuesday, and it's on the ground, and within "striking distance" of my "victim!"

I am so happy!

I just hope he'll be home tomorrow.

Got my SS package today...

Well actually it came yesterday, but I had to go to my sister's to pick it up today.

The poor box looks like a little rat (UPS) got into it. I hope it's ok, as I won't be opening it until Christmas morning.

I know who my Secret Santa was now. :-D

Lawrence, thanks for posting about the tracking. It reminded me I needed to check today and it has already been delivered.

Hope everyone who participated gets theirs in time and undamaged.

Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa gifts arrived yesterday as well. This has been so much fun. I want to thank Lawrence so very much. I can't wait to make the Italian Bean Soup!! I am also enjoying the vintage candys!! Terry

Can we reveal our SS gifts or should we wait till Christmas? I opened mine and I can say it's definitely one of a kind.

Thank you Secret Santa for the FrankenOster lol.

Re: Secret Santa Gift:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Automatic Washer Friends. I just opened my Gift, from my Secret Santa and it is a beautiful White 3-Button Shirt, with a Logo of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. I did a little investigating on the Mailing Address Labels and if I'm right, the 1940 Air Terminal Museum is located somewhere in Texas.

Thank you Secret Santa, I hope that you are having a wonderful Christmas Celebration and will have a wonderful New Years Celebration as well. I also hope if you participated in the Secret Santa, to have someone get something for you, that they were as nice to you, as you were to me. I really appreciate this great Gift, as I wrote in my info for the Secret Santa, I love getting Shirts with Logo's from the Cities, Towns and States and even if it were to have come from "Over the Pond" it would certainly be very appreciated by me.

Peace, Blessings, Prayers, Christmas Love and Hugs, Steve

Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa was jimmyb~

And he did an outstanding job on all my goodies! I had a feeling you were my SS when you made the above post. lol

I was very impressed with everything in the box. The retro magnets (I will HAVE to post a scan of my fave) Yankee candles (my fave again) A CD of personal choice Christmas music (Thanks! I only had one and it was SOooo boring and traditional, lol)
Oooooooooooh, and the cutest little washer and dryer charms on a necklace...so cute. Ah yes, and a obligatory box of laundry powder...Rinso. :-)

Ya did good Jim! (And Dana too, lol)

Being my first year to participate in Secret Santa, this proved to be so much fun! I would defineately do it again.

Merry Christmas to everyone in Applianceville!!!

Carol
