Amazing Delivery

Last Thursday night we had Hurricane 2 force winds followed by an extreme cold snap while a million and a half people are left without power. The job of navigating the city with no working lights was unbearably slow and tedious. Friday, I spent 7 hours picking up shingles, branches and debris. Late in the afternoon, the mailman brought me a box from my Secret Santa. That evening, wrapped in blankets and by candle light I unpacked the booty. The volume of gifts was amazing and the cost of shipping nearly exceeded the limit for the gift exchange. There was candy, designer ornaments, a beautifully illustrated book detail the history of Maytag and counter top saucepan with glass lid and detachable control! It was a generous, thoughtful, amazing box. Everything was wrapped individually as well. I got power back yesterday and have just been catching up with posts in my absence. We have another predicted for tonight, so if the lights go out again, thank you to my Secret Santa and a very Merry Christmas to you all!

SURPRISE!!

So I've been spending on ebay lately... ALOT...too much...so I just kinda figured the box waiting for me today was some more ebay loot...
So I opened it without even looking at the return address...

{insert 5-year old girl shriek here}

I'm lucky to know my Santa as a friend, and boy does he know me!!
So to my Santa I say a huge thanks, you generousity and thoughtfulness touch my heart, and I am so very blessed to know you and call you my friend.
I'll do a reveal after I get a chance to talk to him...

Re: Received my Secret Santa Gift:

My Secret Santa Gift arrived on Wednesday, December 20th. I would like to thank my Secret Santa for what they sent to me, although I haven't opened the actual Gift as of yet. I did open the Christmas Card and I also did some checking under the Address Label, although seeing what was under my Address Label, my Secret Santa Gift could very likely be from either of the 2-Addresses shown To/From.

I would really like to know who my Secret Santa was and would appreciate an E-Mail from them, besides getting to know someone else, who seems to be a newcomber to the Appliance Club Site.

Peace, Blessings and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Steve

I just ran the tracking number

of the Secret Santa package I sent on Tuesday, and it's on the ground, and within "striking distance" of my "victim!"

I am so happy!

I just hope he'll be home tomorrow.

Got my SS package today...

Well actually it came yesterday, but I had to go to my sister's to pick it up today.

The poor box looks like a little rat (UPS) got into it. I hope it's ok, as I won't be opening it until Christmas morning.

I know who my Secret Santa was now. :-D

Lawrence, thanks for posting about the tracking. It reminded me I needed to check today and it has already been delivered.

Hope everyone who participated gets theirs in time and undamaged.

Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa gifts arrived yesterday as well. This has been so much fun. I want to thank Lawrence so very much. I can't wait to make the Italian Bean Soup!! I am also enjoying the vintage candys!! Terry

Can we reveal our SS gifts or should we wait till Christmas? I opened mine and I can say it's definitely one of a kind.

Thank you Secret Santa for the FrankenOster lol.

Re: Secret Santa Gift:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Automatic Washer Friends. I just opened my Gift, from my Secret Santa and it is a beautiful White 3-Button Shirt, with a Logo of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. I did a little investigating on the Mailing Address Labels and if I'm right, the 1940 Air Terminal Museum is located somewhere in Texas.

Thank you Secret Santa, I hope that you are having a wonderful Christmas Celebration and will have a wonderful New Years Celebration as well. I also hope if you participated in the Secret Santa, to have someone get something for you, that they were as nice to you, as you were to me. I really appreciate this great Gift, as I wrote in my info for the Secret Santa, I love getting Shirts with Logo's from the Cities, Towns and States and even if it were to have come from "Over the Pond" it would certainly be very appreciated by me.

Peace, Blessings, Prayers, Christmas Love and Hugs, Steve

Merry Christmas!

My Secret Santa was jimmyb~

And he did an outstanding job on all my goodies! I had a feeling you were my SS when you made the above post. lol

I was very impressed with everything in the box. The retro magnets (I will HAVE to post a scan of my fave) Yankee candles (my fave again) A CD of personal choice Christmas music (Thanks! I only had one and it was SOooo boring and traditional, lol)
Oooooooooooh, and the cutest little washer and dryer charms on a necklace...so cute. Ah yes, and a obligatory box of laundry powder...Rinso. :-)

Ya did good Jim! (And Dana too, lol)

Being my first year to participate in Secret Santa, this proved to be so much fun! I would defineately do it again.

Merry Christmas to everyone in Applianceville!!!

Carol

PS: A special thanks to Robert, for making this site possible and having the greatest people in the world participating. I was blessed to attend 2 wash-ins this year, and meeting fabulous folks from this site!

PSS: And thanks to Bob, AKA: Vegalicious(where-ever you are honey)LOL, for organising SS for us.

It's Christmas day and time for the "Reveal", if you wish.
Unfortunately, we are off with relatives in the northern burbs of Chicago so I won't see my Secret Santa gift till I return home in Texas.
I worked on Christmas Eve and it was fun making all the Santa Sightings from 34K feet for the kiddies onboard.
I was the Secret Santa for SactoTeddyBear. I thought a nice polo shirt of my own design would be a nice idea.
Merry Christmas to All and to all a good night!

Ah, you're visiting! I was wondering up with this Lake Forest IL business. Have a wonderful Christmas! Next year I'll have to look more closely into this secret Santa thing. I always seem to find out about it after it's happened. Enjoy!

Lake Forest Illinois...

Is not all that far from me!

I'm typing this from my dad's computer, he finally broke down and got DSL!

I hope everyone is having a great Christmas!

Deep Tub

Terry Lattz was my secret Santa. I was amazed to open the box and see so many gifts all individually wrapped. Candy, Miniature Maytag Highlanders in the shipping box, a retrospective of the Maytag company, collector ornaments and a Super Hot Pot from QVC with the removable heat probe, glass lid and totally immersible. I am blown away and can't wait to meet Terry in Tuscon. Thank Deep Tub.

Re: Secret Santa, for Irishwashguy:

I'm glad that you liked my selection of Secret Santa Gifts that I got for you. I've sent you an E-Mail, just a short while ago, that explains about your inquiry and some other info, that I wanted to share only with you.

Enjoy everything as well as the rest of the Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Peace, Holiday Greetings, Christmas Hugs and Blessings, Steve

My SS was Mr. Gansky...

and my present is the beautiful Golden 1956 Waste King Pulverator seen on this forum a couple of months back...
Greg, I can't tell you how touched I am, and how thrilled I am to have this Waste King...
I did hook a cord up to it and fire it up... it came to life for the first time in 50 years with a little growl, but after a few minutes of running quieted right down.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart!
