Seeking a manual for the Westinghouse 'magic' surface unit

I've been trolling around eBay looking for the manual or instructions for the Westinghouse version of a temperature-controlled electric surface unit, which I have heard referred to as a 'Magic Eye', for a dear friend of mine.  Get this - he managed to find a brand-new, still in the packing crate 1953 Westinghouse electric range but for some reason there were no instructions about this unit and so far, I haven't found one either....

 

If anyone has a copy or if this might be coming up on the Daily Doctrine Dispenser,  please let me know.

Hi Paul, are you looking for operating instructions or repair information, it would be great to see pictures of the element and the control knob and the range in general. I don't think that this feature even became available until about 1955 but in any event I probably have the information your friend needs.
