Seeking service lit on a 1965-67 Kenmore dryer

As many of you may have seen here, I just took possesion of a rather lovely Kenmore 800 dryer from around 1966. The exact model number is 110.6508923W00.

I have looked in all the usual places on the machine for an electrical schematic and have come up with nothing. This machine is unusual in my experiences with WP/KM products in that it is an all-electronic control dryer. There is no temperature setting other than "heat/air" and there is no timed option just a dryness control with the numbers 1 through 7.

Being an intenesly curious laundry nerd, I want to know what makes this beast "tick" electrically. Does anyone have the service lit on this machine that they might share with me? I'm specifically looking for the electrical schematic.

KENMORE 800 ELECTRIC DRYER

The wiring diagram is a paper label glued on the back near where the cord enters the machine, it is not unusual for it to be missing at this point.

 

 

The electical system in this dryer is quite simple, it uses the dual heater element where only the larger 4100 watt element is cycled off and on to maintain an exhaust temperature around 140 degrees. Mean while the 1500 watt element stays on as long as the dryer is running until the EC cuts power to the relay coil at which time the cool-down thermostat keeps the motor running until the exhaust temperature goes below 110 degrees and turns the motor off.

 

 

These dryers were very fast yet gentile and far more relilble than MTs HOH ECed dryers, we very seldom saw any problems with the control system. Frigidare used the same company to build thier TOL ECed controlled dryer controlls from the mid 1960s till the 1-18 dryers came out. This was probably the fastest 30 amp electric dryer ever made for home use, enjoy.
