Help Support :

Morning all been looking at some of the posts over the years, and decided to write. Now made friends with a few guys on Facebook and other places love looking at the old pictures of the machines.
In the past was a Hoover fan now swapped to Servis thanks to Mark knightly (Hoover 3060) on YouTube in past now a Servis fan. He once came to mines and gave me his Servis 600 to me then passed it on to an amazement it came back.
Enjoyed meeting Chris when he came for a visit

Help!leaking 6033 seal

Hi

New to the forum and just finding my way around(Not very well!)So please forgive my errors.

I have a Servis Quartz Plus 6033 which is leaking more and more from the inner drum seal(I hope that is the correct term)
I have two problems, number one locating a replacement seal for a machine this old,and seconly knowing HOW to replace it!

I tackle most things mechanical without problem, but havn`t had to deal with a washing machine!

Any help MUCH appreciated

Cheers

Seal

Hi Martin

Having now replaced one of these I would say that you could use any seal but generally a thinish one that you can trim to size. I used a Hoover one but it really is a bit too thick. You can't get them for the quartz series unfortunately

The proper way to do it is to remove the machine casing from the chassis so you get full access to the front. However, I managed by removing the door boot and laying the machine on its back. This allowed me to take the tub seal clips off. If you unscrew the soap dispenser drawer you can push it back enough to let you take the front of the tub out. Wrap the new seal on this and then reassemble in reverse.

Good luck
Steve :)

Hello came across this thread. Last year was at a friends house, and on the way north did pick up the M612. But sadly it blew a socket and melted plug as well. It was a lovely machine but had suffered a motor failure. It was owned by a lady in Manchester. But sadly she passed away, and house was taken over by her neighbour down stairs. He was going to let the house after refurbishing it.
My friend and I stripped it due to space and was going to cost too much to repair

Servis Quartz F6 Error

Hi found this thread after much searching. I tried to join the forum years ago but something went wrong with verification. This time everything went okay so here goes.

I have a Servis Quartz washer with the Spincare drum which I really want to keep hold of - I have fond memories of it... It was taken out of actiona few years ago with the F6 error which, thanks to this forum, I now know it points to an open circuit heater or bad triac. I believe the triac is on the power PCB but I havn't got much further than trying a simple test on the triacs.

I need some guidance and maybe a schematic if possible to get this up and running again. It does need some TLC but would be great to see it washing, spinning etc again!

Hi Anthony

Wow this thread has made me realise how time has flown past - still need to get my machines fully sorted but hopefully will get the chance soon. I will email you the service information I have - Its not greatly detailed but it might help you out. It could be the thermal fuse like it was on mine.

Good luck with it
S

Re-entry 6032

Hello AW-enthousiasts.
Although I have visited this splendid website and forum many times in the past it has just occurred to me that it's high time to join in.
Also, I have a Quartz 6032 which I bought (new) in 1987 and would like to return to active service. It emigrated with me in 1995 and has been in (dry) storage since then. On / via your site I found a film of a 603x in operation and those sights and sounds made me feel rather as if I was slipping into a favourite jumper (hand-washed, of course).
So more news as the project (slowly) progresses (er, starts).
Don

Re-entry 603x

Actually, I'm not sure now if it's a 6032 or a 6033.
What is the definition of the terms 'semi-integrated' and 'porthole door'?
On my machine, the glass dome is fitted in a door-panel which is the full width of the cabinet.

M601 (metal tub) in Birmingham available to a new home

Hi Everyone,
I was stumbling about looking for information on the quartz when I stumbled across this forum. I've got a M601 (metal tub) in fairly good order looking for a new home, if anyone is interested. I've just put a new bearing in it, and was about to put it back into a rental property, but after finding this forum I thought you people might appreciate it better than my tenant's, who will try and put more than 4kg in it !

The good :-
Spin care drum
Fully working, doesn't trip out RCD etc.

The bad :-
After changing the bearing there is a small leak off the tub seal (it was quite rusty and a bit pitted where the back and tub joined - I could just slap sealant over it, but someone might prefer to be more 'original'. (leak is not ignorable, could not let it go through a cycle leaking that much)
There is a slight bit of variation in motor speed when turning the drum over - is fine and steady at full spin speed.
Rusty around detergent drawer.

....and you will curse me, but I broke another 601 for spares a few years ago (motor bearing died).... I retained some of the more useful bits such as the circuit boards - I can't recollect if they are buried in a box in a garage or if I can find them hiding somewhere - if I can find them they will go along with it.

I'm in Birmingham B23 - if anyone is interested then make me an offer.

Servis Models

Deconstruction/Don,

The Servis Quartz & Sapphires have what are known as 1/2 panel doors.

There were two varieties mainly, with the third being very rare:

01) 1/2 panel door with plastic porthole window with target pattern (AutoWashers).

02) 1/2 panel door with sloping glass porthole (Washer Dryers).

03) Décor full panel with 1/2 panel door with plastic porthole window with target pattern, behind outer door.

I've been lucky to own most variations of these machines, Sapphire AutoSelect 6065, Quartz 6104 & 6036G, Quartz Mk600, all autowashers & a Sapphire 9700 washer dryer etc, all since Oct 2011.

I still have in daily operation my Sapphire 9635 washer dryer, & its brother, the 9634, the only differences between model codes being cabinet & trim colours.

I believe the only Quartz model that featured a décor full panel door, concealing the 1/2 panel door behind, was a model 6032 (confirmed from my range brochure), I'll post snaps below of each machine I've had, and a Sapphire snap, showing the example of the 6032.

All Quartz's both 603- & Mk600 models were all 1000RPM spin machines with the exception of the 6104 which was a 1100RPM model.

Only selected Sapphire models had a 1300RPM spin speed, the AutoSelect 6065, AutoWash 6055, my ex 9700, now with a friend, & my two, the 9634/9635 were all 1300RPM.

There was an Electra badged Quartz style washer dryer. Snapped up by ChesterMikeUK (the #01 authority on Servis).

Anyway, I'll leave y'all for now with a selection of snaps of the machines I've had & the Sapphire equivalent style of the 6032.

Key of snaps as follows:

01/02) Quartz 6036G.

03) Quartz 6104.

04/05) Sapphire AutoSelect 6065.

06) Sapphire AutoSelect 6065/Sapphire 9635, showing door porthole variation.

07) Quartz Mk600.

08) Sapphires 9700/9635, set up for use (Original use set up).

09) Sapphire 9700.

10) Sapphire 9634 (Left), 9635 (Right).

11) Sapphire/9635 full décor door (NOT REAL, self edited version!).

12) Sapphire 9634/9635 1/2 décor door no porthole (NOT REAL, self edited version!).

13) Quartz 6032 (The REAL one).

14) Quartz 6030/6031 1/2 panel no porthole. ]

15) Quartz 6030/6031 1/2 panel with porthole.

(Stephen, hope you don't mind me borrowing a self edited copy of snaps 14/15 from your booklet?).

If any of this description is confusing, I'll apologise now!

If you wish the full table of Servis models for reference, I'm sure Mike will happily oblige and post a copy up for y'all.

CJ

Chronology of Models

Don,

In Reply #18, Paul's given an outline of models, however I think I've seen a more in depth table Mike created & posted somewhere, but Mike'll re-post if you want, I'm sure.

Servis Quartz 600 door seal

My Mother-in-law has a Servis Quartz 600 washing machine made in 1983. The door seal has gone and as it is in a fitted kitchen, in a gap only 58.5 wide, we can not replace the machine and so far I have been unable to get hold of a new seal. The washing machine is in pristine condition apart from that and she is very keen to carry on using it. I would be very grateful if anyone can help

Thanks a lot.

Servis Door Seal

Hi, your mother in law's kitchen won't have been the only kitchen built around a Servis 585mm cabinet I'm sure! Gaskets are still available, and pretty reasonably priced. I've got 2 of these machines, just stripped and rebuilt one just last week and thats had a new gasket too. Attached is a link to one on eBay, give us a shout if you have any problems with it in the future! (Or if its ever up for disposal!)

Hope this helps!

Chris

Replacement door port hole galass 6036G

Is there anyware I can get a replacement port hole glass foe a Servis M6036 also a replacement gasket I see a number on this site but not for servis M6036

6033G

At very long last I have started to investigate my 6033G.
To begin with thank you to those who have posted tips and information.
Today I dug the machine out and manoeuvred it into a suitable position. After a quick look around for broken / bare wires I provided power and saw the comforting LED in the display.
Then opened the front door and observed that the door seal has dematerialised so that's the first problem - I imagine that this will be very difficult to find :(
Around at the back with all the covers off, I found that a little rubber hose which runs from a round thing (which has electrical connections) near the top of the cabinet then down and around the back of the drum case to a little plastic 'bottle' ( a water-level sensor?) has corroded almost completely where it fits onto the 'bottle' - a very simple fix :)
Apart from that the only other visible issue is the broken, flattened and jammed wheels - but I can deal with them.

So the first challenge is the door seal. Anyone, any tips? :)
