There seems to be alot on here about the restoration and resurrection of old dryers! I managed to acquire at the weekend a Servis Quartz Dryer which is in fantastic cosmetic condition. After a good clean round with a vacuum and brush and a test for earth and possible shorts with a multimeter, I fired her up and after about 20 seconds the main RCD trip went. Closer inspection shows that the heating element is leaking to earth and also the fan belt on the rear has stretched beyond function. I have a couple of questions that I wondered if I could ask the experts out there
Where is a good place to source a new halo of heat element and a new rear fan belt or compatible for this dryer?
Does anyone have any scans of the quartz instruction manual that was supplied with this dryer originally?
Thanks for any help
