Hi All,

Just found a Servis Quartz Style Electra Washer Dryer on Ebay...

It's up for £0.99 auction or seller'll settle for £37 BIN (Buy It Now).

It has 06 days 16 hrs 47 mins run time from 10 days. Auction ends 24 May, 2011 16:57:46

Any Quartz fans fancy snapping it up? It's based in Derby, & seller'll deliver providing contact is made prior to bidding.

It's a 1300RPM 5KG Wash 2.5KG Dry (Guess on capacity)Doesn't look like a spin care or chevron drum.

Anyone fancy? Quick put a bid on it!!!

Wish I was getting it but I've reached my agreed limit with the acquisition of my Hoover Logic Premier!

Ebay item No: 160588358228

Does anyone know what the model may be???

Matchbox Paul, this maybe one for you, as you determined the year of my Hoover!

Maybe a perfect partner to your Servis Mk600!

I'd love it

But i doubt the seller would be prepared to deliver as far as Oxford & following my recent purchases, i'd fear for my life if i announce to the Parents that their garage is to be home to yet another appliance!

Someone should go for it, as these are rare on eBay now. I'd imagine from the lack of replies that the coggs are already turning in the background. You don't need to be a brain surgeon to work out this place at times!

You can use courier services such as HDN (Home Delivery Network), DHL etc.

When I had my Hoover Logic Premier Washer Dryer delivered, I used the courier service that the seller suggested the company name was Get2U.

Get2U, fill in the quote form, & Craig, the courier will get back to you within the day you submit the quote request.

It cost me £50 for delivery from Rochdale to Scunthorpe.

I've checked the distance, it's 106 miles from Derby to Oxford, Craig/Get2U will email or text 2 days prior to delivery date to inform the recipient the time of arrival.

Craig'll ensure it's fully protected if you provide special instructions! He put cardboard & cling film like material round my Hoover to ensure protection while in transit as well as securing to van wall too. It's just a bugger the machine didn't work properly upon testing, now awaiting repair. But I'd definitely reccommend Get2U for a courier company if anyone ever needed one!

You could try them if you want the Electra badly.

Hope this helps, there're many courier companies so try some research, maybe you'll be lucky, but hurry up, there's already 1 bid on the auction for it!

Hi guys.

Even though its on my doorstep, I really cant offer room to this particular machine.

Not being a fan of washer dryers doesnt help, but we already have a Servis 3305 electronic 1000 (dial controlled piano key model) and, when the machine finally decides its had enough, we will be offering accommodation to my grandmas Servis Sapphire 1300 Autowash.

Fingers crossed it goes to a good home though.

Even though its not branded servis, seeing a white piano key machine is certainly a little bit different.

I absolutely loved my Quartz. I only have the room for one machine at present though I'd love to get it. Machine that was way ahead of it's time. I'd snap up a 2011 Servis quartz if such a thing would've existed!

I have had a couple of quartz's..The 600 and one with the full width door although that one was called a Servis Spectrum for some reason. They were nice machines but I just couldn't accept the very short wash times. I like long wash times (within reason)...1ol The Electra one does look nice in White.

Mark My Quartz 602 had the spin care drum and was connected to cold fill so would take quite a while on the main wash. did you have yours hooked up to hot and cold?!

Plus it had the bio option and cool wash option which both extended the cycle. I loved it. I dislike high wash water levels though so it used to annoy me on that front. The later sapphire models washed below the door seal which I prefer.

Hooverzanmiele.....

Thanks for the information about the courier companies. Really appreciate it, particularly because from your example they don't seem as expensive to use as i'd thought they might be.

I guess i will see what the price is upto early next week & decide if i can afford to go for it with the courier company.

However, if anyone else wants to go for it just say because i'm not in an ideal situation for storing another machine - got one washer & 2 dryers in the Parents garage & 2 washers & a dryer in a friends garage.

It would be nice to see it saved though, as theyre not something you see everyday.

Servis Electra

Lovely machine, if no-one else wants it I`ll go for it for the Servis collection, the drums on these where not the spin care or chevron and had slightly larger hole patterns for the through of air for the drying and condensating!!!

Lots of these machines are still about working, including my dads set, the water levels are high, (very high for todays moist tumbles) but I would never complain about the time, 45mins for a 40d wash is good, and the Mixed Fabric wash was a first as well as the 30 min Quick Wash..

Go for it.....

Go for it Mike, unless anyone else wants it.

As long as i get to see it in action at some point (via video or in the metal) i don't mind ;-)

Very hotpoint-esque that drum mike!

I'd love it. I'm moving into my own house shortly and need a washer dryer but I don't no whether it would last me being on most days with kiddies. That and im used to bigger drums now.

Hey Darren

I had the 600 on both hot and cold and just cold only but I just can't make my brain think the short wash gets things clean.

Hi Mike

The wash times are very good for time, it's just personally I like a longer wash. It's all in my head as I used to get good results from the 3060 with the short 40 wash time. For some reason I just think it's too quick for me. Im currently using my mums Zanussi Essential but always select the "intensive" button to extend the wash time. I just can't select the "40 eco" programme as my brain won't let me!

Hi,
Looks a great machine. I have a servis quartz 6030/1 in immaculate condition. Only problem is that I am looking for a PCB board for it. Will this machine on ebay have the right PCB board for it?
Thanks.

John.

Hi Steve,
The machine is actually at my mother-in-laws - its like the attached pic.

Its just a washer so I agree the pcb will be different.

How easy is it to get a new pcb for the model 6030?

Thanks.

John.
