After much pondering and trying to find the needed bits I have at last been able to replicate a modern version of a 60's classic.

The Servis Twin Tub 2 in 1 pipe is once again fitted and working a treat.

The first pic shows the machine with 2 hoses.

Spot on Mike

Yes both valves only water out its the only way I could think of doing it !

I will have to find the Serial number but yes its cream, I have a MK1 now as well I am working on which is mostly white with a retro green panel just like the one you have, But its going to be sprayed white along with the casing as I wanted an all white one as that was what my Mums was.

Lance if you want it done to yours I can do so very easily and Hmm thank you ever so for the Hoovermatic :)
Not told himself yet I have some more coming lol will have to do some thinning out !

Thanks Ozzie

I shall look forward to my two hose twinny being converted.
Mike , thanks to both you and Darren .
I did inffact repair the rubber mount and it's absolutely water tight but thank you very much to you both for your advice.
Ozzie is hopefully coming up soon to have a go at the rest of the hoovermatics problems then I think it's going home with him to Lincoln .

2nd Hole

Its made to hold the filler hose as it has the same shape fixing as the spin rinse, I assume its just for making it possible to close the lid of the wash tub while you fill it. Never used it myself apart from to store the 2nd hose before conversion.

Maybe our Mike can shed more light on it than I ?

It would be better if you could find some plain rubber hose rather than the ribbed stuff, which is really meant to have rubber cuffs at the ends.

hoses

Ozzie thats a really great little job you have done . I like the fact that when the back panel is on you don't see any of the gubbins. The twin line hoses are like hens teeth these days but your conversion is brilliant. Pleased you got the machine done and working again.

Thank you ....

To everyone for their positive comments :)

I agree with Fido some plain grey hose would have been better but this was all I could find.

Slowspin as you know it would not have been possible without you !

Twinline Hose / Hose Restorer...

Dear All,

Does anyone know any good rubber restorer ? I have a Servis twinline hose in store but every year that goes by it is getting weaker and weaker, I have been using "Son of a gun" silicone spray restorer but just wondered if international friends have good experience with any other products ??

Cheers
Keith

@adam aussievac

I will measure them for you but it may take a while as they are in the back of the half renovated shed. I do remember purchasing the one way valves from a boat chandler and they have graduations on them to fit all sizes, as for the Y piece it was from eBay I will see what I can find out for you.

Austin

Keith I too used son of a gun applied liberally and put the pipe in a plastic bag to allow absorption of said product its stopping further disintegration but its not on the machine yet !
