How original do you want to keep it?

I believe the pump can be rebuilt.

Where is the leak? Around the shaft or from the cover seal?

If cover seal, remove cover, clean up and dry, reseal with silicone.

If around shaft, from vague memory you can remove the pulley, remove the top cover, push the shaft and impeller assembly up and away, possibly remove a washer that hides the seal, replace bushes and seal. These are probably generic parts you can take to a bearing shop and get them to match your sample.

There is a slim chance I have one here to look at and jog my memory. (but I doubt it.)

If it were my machine, I'd fit an electric pump. You'd have to dodgy up a switch to turn pump on and off.

Yeah and plus another thing I noticed was

Previously whenever I had the pump running sometimes it wouldn’t prime even when there was water in it, then after it primed it was leaking around the shaft so I’m possibly thinking about swapping it out with an electric pump, I’ll have to see what size the original intake for the pump is, And doesn’t really matter of what size of pump that I can fit in there just as long as it actually does?

It’s a quick simple and authentic repair to replace the lip seal . Dismantle the pump and remove the old worn seal . Clean out any soap deposits / scale from the seal housing and take the clean impeller shaft and housing to a bearing shop and they will measure the diameters . . Use good quality motor engineering silicone and not kitchen or bathroom products A tiny smearing of silicone will do the trick .
Electric pumps are fine if there is no alternative at all but replacement lip seals are so simple and quick . Good luck
