Severe weather in the area

A possible tornado touched down in the Temple aera this afternoon. President & Mrs. bush were moved in an armored vehicle to a tornado shelter on the Ranch. (Wire services). Injuries in the county where John is camping later this weekend (Groesbeck).

It is pitch black to the east of us! The sky is going to open up any minute; definitely tornadic possibilities!

Well, I had ABC national news on and the lead in for after a commercial break was to have a segment on the tornadoes and the President. Well, we had a break in with local ABC affiliate because of more severe weather in the area. So I missed the national coverage.

Been very icky, humid, rainy all day. Temp was 70°F when I checked earlier in the day. Blowing from the south, which my narrow back porch doesn't provide much cover. Thunder rumbling. I haven't looked outside in an hour or so, did just now. Some lightning, steady rain.

It's raining, thundering, lightening here in San Marcos, and windy. The theatre is booming with business. Rain always brings them out. Isn't that right Glen?

OK, it's blowing more now from the south. Rain is beating on the windows, which are beneath the back porch, although it's kinda narrow as mentioned above.

Went from slightly grey to pitch-black in the course of about 40 minutes. Luckily I finished all of the washing (3 loads) and brought it back up before the sky opened up again.

So now it's been raining hard on and off; same goes with the wind. Very interesting weather to say the least.

Now, I just wish it would get COLD again!

Man, it is really gusting up a might fierce wind here in H Town. 70 degrees out there right now. They say the gusts here are only 25 mph...but it feels more like 45-50.
I had to walk around and see what all the noise is, and my potted plants are all falling over.
By the looks of the weather channel, alot of rain heading up from the Gulf...but only a stray shower this evening.
We are under tornado watch until 2 am here.
Everyone in the Lone Star State better batten down the hatches....literally!

The National Weather Service has cancelled the tornado watch we were to be under until 2:00 am. sigh!!

You know what happens when this southern air from the Gulf meets up with the cold wind supposidly coming from the ENE

I think I can get on top of the roof right now, tie a white sheet around my neck (washed in COLD water w/bleach of course in the Maytag,lol)and fly north to meet paulg in Chicago for a pre-purgatory meeting.

Might make it by midnight new year's eve. LOL

Too Close For Comfort!!!

Well, a new development. I vividely remember this happening about 7:30 this evening cuz it scared the bejeebers out of me!! A LOUD thunder clap & bright flash of lightening struck very close by. well, I just found out on the local new that incident most liikely started a fire (6 units) at the apartment complex at the front of my subdivisiono 2 blocks away!!!

I hope everyone in TX stays safe. We had several tornados here in central FL Christmas day. 2 F2 tornados touched down in Daytona Beach. I finally saw some of the damage yesterday and the destruction was increadible! I'm just a few miles south of where half of an apartment got tore up

I wish the temps wouldn't jump so drastic as it has here lately. 60s the other day and upper 70s today!

We're expecting more severe weather this weekend UGH!!!
