Having just come back from the Philippines, I'd like to share a washer that was briefly discussed before that I experienced there: the Sharp stainless steel solid tub! I first heard about this on RevinKevin's thread about his trip to the Philippines, a member mentioned these, but there were no pictures. I saw many of those same machines that Kevin saw on my trip and I won't post duplicate pictures of them, but I will post these. It's a true solid tub machine, however, it neutral drains through perforations in the wash impeller when the valve opens. It's a gravity drain machine, like many of them are, as floor drains are very common there. It spins the water from the clothes though, up and out the top much like the Blackstone. These machines even have the option of an overflow rinse! There is only one intake water valve, so if you want a fill other than tepid (cold water tap), you have to add that manually. A very fascinating machine and one that I would own if I lived there.
