Oh dear, oh well. Krank your heads to the left. Anyway she says the thing is leaking on the bottom and doesn't seem to know what's wrong with it, but she loves the things so much she doesn't want to part with it.

If any of you know have any service literature for this thing or have any ideas where she might find parts, it would be neighborly of y'all if you'd post that information. Looks like there's a little rust staining inside and she needs a cover for that detergent dispenser, but the racks look great.

Jeeze, Maytag must have used the same silverware basket for at least 23 years.

What year is this dishwasher, 1969?

If it's a seal problem, you may have to fabricate your own. Finding parts for these machines are as bad as finding parts for a pulsamatic.....if not worse!

Oh my!

That looks very much like the 1966 one I own! Tell her it can't be repaired but I will buy the racks... No, that would too mean, even for me! LOL
I don't have a service manual, but I do have a complete parts list, if that might help!
RedCarpetDrew in NV may have something that would help...

please tell her that

if she decides to part with it there is a nice guy in ohio who will buy it from her and add it to his dishwasher collection!

i don't have a westinghouse and i don't care if it leaks or not i would love to have it. i could have jim the trucker pick it up for me, he is delivering that top load roto rack kenmore for me this coming saturday and does a great job always.

thanks

Maytag WP600 complete parts list

Hello!
I recently purchased a Maytag WP600 Topload Dishwasher. I am looking for a complete parts list and see in the thread that you may have one. Would it be possible for me to purchase a copy from you? I am looking for the service manual too if you happen to know where I could purchase one from. Thank you kindly for your time, Rusty

I've got one, and it's still running!

I suppose this is a bit late, but I had a similar problem on my old WP600, which, by the way, is still running. The seal at the bottom of the drain has to be dismantled, and that means turning the machine upside down and going from there. If you can get things cleaned up, and maybe create a gasket if a new one is not "available", then you just have to epoxy the whole thing so the leak stops. I fixed mine 10 years ago and it's still holding.
