Does anyone know how much it would be to ship a wringer washer from Dayton Ohio to Orlando FL, There is a brand new Crosley wringer for sale, or is anyone driving to Orlando from that area ??
Chris
I had one and loved the way that it washed. The wringer was the worst that I have ever seen, no water return at all, just a few holes in the bottom of the frame to return the water. I hope you aren't paying a lot for this washer. Good luck
If this were a Maytag, there are precautions you'd need to take, like removing the wringer head from the vertical drive shaft (the locking mechanism is rather fragile) and being sure the machine was kept upright to prevent loss of oil. Also to be sure there was no water trapped in the pump.
I am hoping a Crosley expert will chime in about these pre-shipment prep details.
THe person selling it said its brand new and never been used, the wringer rollers are stil wrapped in the original plastic, but its too far from Orlando for me to get. I am sure shipping would be very expensive, I will have to keep searching around here for one..
Was this Crosley washer made when the company was actually Crosley (AVCO), which would be before 1956, or a much more recent one, (which I think is made by Speed Queen)?
