Shopping at Habitat-for-Humanity Sat. Aug 28th

It's one of the biggest habits I've seen AND they just expanded last week I'm told. They made a nice hole through the back wall into what I believe was a Harbor Freight store before.

Yes, they have appliances.

Several Gas. Those dryers have the typical yellowed interiors I've had to reference before, and I'm sure I will many times in the future. lol 

The Duet set looks like it's had little traffic.

They even have repair parts, specifically motors that look like they are from Whirlpool.

They broke through the back wall.

Also, earthquake damage to the floor in one spot. There's another spot in front of the store where they had to level out the floor to make it safe.

They even have a Christmas section....with some lights.

There was good traffic too. I had to be strategic in order to keep from getting others in the pics.

They seem to have a few reel mowers and considering on picking up a reel mower in my area since there’s a Honda mower that’s been sitting for who knows how long and more than likely will need a rebuild from sitting for years.

I’d be interested to see what kinds of fans they have come through since I’ve heard of people finding Lakewood box fans and have been looking to see what’s for sale in my area but it seems that older Lakewood fans are unicorns in my area since I haven’t seen a Lakewood box fan in years of going to garage sales and thrift stores, even go onto marketplace and Craigslist to see what there is and nothing. I’ll keep on searching but I have a feeling that all the Lakewood metal bladed fans have all migrated out east since that’s where a majority of fan collectors live.

They've got a nerve charging $125 for that dryer with the finish worn off drum.

HFH's in my area are no different, they jacked prices way up a few years ago.

Then they go and build a house for Ethiopian immigrants with the cash.

That's a well-stocked HOH.  Looks like a department store!  Our local HOH is really pitiful.  Pitiful.  BTW - LOVE the set of red chairs!

Yes Chris that is exactly the point of Habitat For Humanity. But apparently for some only if the homes are built for the “right people”.

We must think positive. It's great that you in fact HAVE a HFH store and there is the possibility they also could expand or move to larger space.

How many native born Americans who need housing were passed over?

Not the first time HFH has done this in my area either.

The first Good Shepard, Jesus Christ wouldn’t have found one homeless person more deserving than another because of their nationality. To him we are all created equal.

Habitat For Humanity helps ALL people, as long as they qualify for the help AND they contribute to the process of building their home.

There is a vast difference in the deprivation of American born citizens and immigrants who come here for a better life. Whats so wrong with helping your fellow man regardless of where they came from? The need for the basic human needs of shelter, food, clothing and medical care know no ethnic boundaries.

If anyone doesn’t like the way Habitat For Humanity runs its charitable organization then they don’t need to support it.

Yes, it's about an hour from SanFran via the Golden Gate Bridge and North on the 101. Depends on traffic of course. It's just off the 101 and Coddingtown Mall isn't far from there either.
