It looks good, but that's a European 2 pin plug, so you had better check the voltage is suitable before you buy unless you want a $3.00 ornament

If the voltage is OK you should be able to cut the plug off a replace it with a re-wireable US plug.

Well there is the answer right there, it is a European unit. This would require a transformer to run it and I cannot believe that you cannot get a US version of one of these for less.

That is a commercial unit and is WAY different from what you were looking at. There are any number of these on ebay (I just looked) from $10.00 upwards

Just get one already for US electricity.

I've had my Braun hand blender for 14 years, and it has always come through for me. The Braun I got was less than 30.00 at Target. If you like it a lot, get a more expensive or prettier one.

I use mine several times a week, and more now in soup season. It is so nice to puree soup in the pot itself. The head/shaft on the Braun detaches and is dishwasher safe. Put it in tilted, with the blade part UP, so that the shaft part doesn't fill with water.
