Should I repair my washing machine or not?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I still have the machine, I plan to buy another Whirlpool, Speed Queen is too expensive and I don’t have that type of money and I have the matching dryer and I don’t want to have to replace the dryer as well. I also heard that the front loaders are harder to keep clean and maintain.

Just loud on the spin cycle, you said i could have a bearing issue. Is that correct? Otherwise the machine is functioning properly, it’s not shaking, banging, or moving.

People also said I’ll have to change out the transmission.

Also, I did buy the machine new I just don’t remember when I bought it.
I recommend a Whirlpool commercial CAR2795FQ. Had one for a couple of years that worked great. Very basic though. No water level selection and the Normal Eco cycle fills roughly 1/4 tub wash and even shallower rinse. The rest of the cycles are high fill with bulky being the deepest fill. Have a ton of videos of it.

I own a Whirlpool washer from 2014, and its bearings are now loud on the spin cycle. Mine is a washplate model while yours has an agitator but it’s still a VMW. Had no other issues with mine. Mine was made back when they still made VMW Cabrios and the F&P type Cabrios.

My sister had a WTW4816FW1 model with bad bearings but she got a new machine.

Also, I like the direct drives they are probably my favorite machines but Whirlpool seems to be discontinuing more and more parts on them. I believe the direct drive transmissions are now NLA.
