Another aspect of summer Fun....

Finally stopped raining in Ct. and some 'summer fun' besides automobiles is hanging your load out to dry....

Nice stiff towels...for that exfoliation process...

OMG

Gary,

When you hang your load out to dry, doesn't it drip?

A whole new way of looking at drip dry! LOL

Gary: At our age, having the energy taking it out to get some air and hanging it out for all to see. What a marvel! And such a nice big white load. Good boy. The environment thanks you for saving energy. I'm sure the smell of it is wonderful.

Oh Dan. This picture I remember well. Thanks for posting it again. Let's just say certain aspects of the scenery are permanently emblazoned in my mind from its first posting.

*LOL*

someone get me my meds...............

Do I smell Clorox?

Yes Veg....Clorox was used in that load

I always thought Clorox would turn colors completely white....did not realize till I tried it that it did not take the colors out of the clothes and turn them white(mostly towels).
I just feel better putting the Clorox into the dispenser of my Neptune....and I do like the smell. And drying outside heightens that sense of olfactory pleasure.

My Toy

Here is the car that my partner bought new in 1986. He hated the fact that I always bought a Cadillac and took his opportunity to get rid of my '87 Sedan Deville by offering me this car when he was going to trade it in by trading in my 1987 Sedan DeVille instead. I took the bait and still have it to this day. It's not my daily driver, but now that he is gone, it has sentimental value and it is a beauty.

Another Shot

That's my daily driver in the background. A 2004 Volvo S80 T6. Love that thing. Actually, love them both. One of these days I will get my hands on a 1967 Chrysler Imperial convertible and it will live in the single garage next to the Volvo. That part of the garage is housing the Maytag 906 pair from Greg Nunn until my contractor shows up to put in the 220V line for the dryer in my laundry room.

Parking space at work...

Since I work in the center of a European town there is no such thing as parking space for cars. Only very expensive parking garages that will cost a few hundred a month. That's the reason I go to work by bike. It's only ten minutes! Here's my new bike parked at the back of the office. I use my bike more than my car.

cool cars

Yes, there are some great cars here, but for everyday use, I'll take my "foreign" Toyota over most anything else. Used to buy Detroit's output, but after buying my first import, I'll never go back (and have had four "imports" since)... The quality is...in one word....superior.

Electra and Caprice

Louis, The only think the Electra and Caprice had in common was that they were both the TOL of their respective GM divisions. The Caprice Classic was actually more closely related to the Buick LeSabre, they shared the same platform/wheelbase. The Electra's GM cousin would have been the Olds 98
The Electra had a longer wheelbase by maybe 2 or 3 inches?

In the 60's the Electra had an overall lenght of 225 inches (5.72 m!), hence the "Electra 225" name. The TOL model was the Electra 225 Limited.

Like I say I used to have a small of collection of vintage cars, I have had a beautiful blue-green 1960 Cadillac coupe Deville,1967 Cadillac Coupe deville, 2 1972 Cadillac eldorado convertibles, also a 1971 Cadillac eldorado hardtop, 1971 Cadillac Sedan Deville, 1975 Cadillac Eldorado, 1960 Nash metropolian, 1965 Ford Galaxy 500 Convertible, 1959 Ford Galaxy 500 with Chrome fender skirts it was black and white with red and white interior, 1971 Chrysler Imperial,1965 Mercury parkavenue,1968 olds 98, 1970 VW beetle convertible, and the lists goes on and sadly I never took pictures of them at all, My dream car to own would be a 1951 Cadillac Coupe deville Grey and Black as when I was in my early teens a neighbor down the road had one and I would go to there house daily to admire that Cadillac Boy were those the days
