Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Designgeek-- I'll bet we have the same shower head. I picked mine up at an Ace Hardware, too. Our ideas of the shower experience are also similar. I don't like water spraying around during the soaping process.

jasonl-- Yes, the Gerber handle does have a little kick-back, but it's certainly nothing that bothers me. I will cop to being a bit startled the first time I flushed it, though. At the risk of being indelicate, there's certainly no job it can't handle, LOL.

rayjay-- showers are always intimate experience, no? LOL!

Hi Toggle!

Showers

OMG. I may have to build add on two more bathroom to the house just to enjoy all of these showers! LOL

Eugene.... You know that showers are always an intimate experience, depends on who is in there with you. LOL

You see... You have two choices, either the showerhead can knock you out of the shower or maybe the person in there with you. ROFL. No slipping now. Be carefull of dropping that soap bar! LMAO

My home has hybrid water pipes. Old steel pipes to the water heater, then more steel, then some copper to the master bed bath. Needless to say the steel pipes are a bit loaded up, and the copper to the master bath is about 20 feet of 1/2" pipe, so the hot water is about 1/2 the flow/pressure of the cold (which loads up much less over time). So I needed to find a shower head that would give a decent massage even on relatively low water pressure.

One of these days I will revamp the plumbing to 3/4" copper, but it's nto real high on my list of the many things to do around here.

Soe the Interbath works well for me... and it doesn't fall apart like the Waterpiks.

shower head

Rayjay there is only one setting for the shower head that I have ....dont need anymore than thatwhith this head. It is also great if you have low water pressure. There is a chamber inside that accellerates the water flow before blasting it out the nozzle. At first when I saw it I thought how could something so simple give such a good shower??
We bought it at the Sharper Image store at the Burlington Mall store and got it home put it in and took a shower...we both fell in love with it...in fact a year after we bought it the hose let go on it and Scott bought another head since the Sharper Image didnt carry the hose. We went over to Lowes and Homo Depot and bought a Delta showerhead that was handheld. Hated it...Scott was very disappointed in it..so was I. So I took the new head off the hose and replaced it with the Oxygenetics one and everyone was happy again. Its kinda sad when you have a good shower head and a part dies...thinking that you have to replace the entire thing and you really dont have to.

Water Saver here!!!

Well, I'm into water saving. I have to keep my winter consumption (December-February) at or under 2000 gallons so my sewer bill for the year (as well as establishing the rate per 100 gallons) that I am charged throughout the year. I have a very large yard that requires lots of water during the summer. My winter "cheapness" paid off this past yeaer. A coworker was complaining about how high her water bill was. I had her bring in her bill. Her son-in-law wastes a ton of water during the winter. As it turns out, this particular bill was higher than mine for the same period and her consumption was less than mine. Thus, I paid about 1/2 to 5/8 a cent less per 100 and the difference showed up in the bottom line because of her much higher basic sewer charge as well as the $/100 gallons. I got vindicated after all these year of being made fun of as to what lengths I go to keep winter consumption down. And Glenn alerady knows just how profusely greatful I am I got to do all that laundry at his house.

Thanks for this thread

Carol. Thanks for the nice comment! Also, thanks for the funny onee. I am really DOWN in the dumps today and you and Steve made me laugh.

Now... considering showerheads.....everyone has be SO helpful, still deciding which one to buy. Let me know how you like the one you are intending to buy

Among the first things I did when moving into the new house was change the showerheads. The outlet spouts are high up, so hand-held is a must, both for personal aim and rinsing the tub or stall. I've had a couple WaterPiks, they really don't last long, massage impeller goes wonky or whatever. This time I got ... something else, don't recall. From Wal-Mart (sorry Jason!). Seven settings. Or is that nine? Whatever. It really only has three basic sprays. One is kind of an aerated bubble-flow, touted as water saving. Up on the bracket, the jets merge together and the flow falls in a single stream, which I use for rinsing the blade when shaving.

I imagine my toilets are all low-flow. I don't have a lot of trouble with them, but more than one flush typically is needed, of course. One of them, I find does better if the handle is held down during the flush, probably needs some adjustment.

DADoES-- That's why I went with a Gerber pressurized-flush model. Low-flow does no good if it takes more than one flush. I think the Gerber could handle all the sensitive documents relating to the Iraq war in one flush, LOL!

Ray....I love this new showerhead!

Got it installed and just took my first shower......one word....NICE!
I FINALLY can take a shower without bending backwards (I'm 5'7") and it didn't cost much. ($16.98 @ Blowe's)
Yes, I took the water regulator thingy out...actually it fell out and who knows where it is...but I was going to do that anyways.
This showerhead replaces one of the first WaterPik Shower Massagers, which I will keep if I can ever move and have 2 full baths, which I need with a teenager at home! OY!

PS: Gansky.....Thank you so much for the recommendation!
A bag of Ariel awaits you! LOL

Toto

Carol. When we were looking to replace our toilet, te plumbing supply had a demo of the Toto toilet. The saleswoman showed us the toilet with 8 golf balls in it. She said that this is the only toilet that could in one flush, flush the golf balls down. Well..... i said who poops like golf balls???? No answer from her. LOL LMAO.

We bought the Gerber instead.

Ray

Carol. WEG???? Not sure what you meant.

I am thinking about the TOTO for the small bathroom downstairs near the family room. It is less noisy.

Do you like the TOTO?

Thanks, Ray

Toto

I have 3 Toto's in the house and they all work pretty well. Strong flush. Kids even put TONS of TP down one once and it just took one flush to clear it (I was totally surprised because it was very full of TP).

Me & my TOTO

Ray,

(WEG) means *wide evil grin* ;-)

And I have no say what kind of toilet I have in the trailer. It belongs to the landlord from hell, but I guess, it's ok.
It does it's job. LOL

I had never heard of this brand of toilet before moving into the place I am at.

But I do know I can't wait to get home from work and take another shower with my new Peerless! LOL

Have a great day!
Carol
