Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

How odd....

I have recently received a couple of messages from 'Robert' and the email address looks like that of our Webmaster, Robert, but the message takes me to a cheap prescription drug site... Worse still, the message I received seems to have addresses of other AWO members! I have just been deleting the emails, but perhaps there is something more serious happening here...

Paul---I've been getting those bogus messages from Robert, as well. I think his e-mail account may have been hacked.

That happened to my Yahoo mail account a year or two ago. My entire contacts folder was stolen and all my friends/business associates began getting e-mails about an electronics store based in Japan. The message made it sound like I was promoting the web store, saying I'd purchased a computer and stereo electronics because their prices and service were so great.

When I received e-mails from people letting me know what was happening, I tried to send an e-mail, only to find my contacts folder was empty! Fortunately, I had printed out a copy of all my contacts e-mail addresses, so all I had to do was re-enter all of the info in a new account.

IMPORTANT Please Read This

There are two absolutely different issues going on here which are not related in any way.

#1 A few weeks back I noticed that an email had gone out from my email address yet there are no emails like this in my Sent folder. Since it just happened once I ignored it. Now that it has happened again it appears to be a problem with yahoo mail accounts getting hacked and using the owners contact list to send out spam. I'm going to close that account so please add the address [email protected] to your blocked list. After doing some research I've found out that yahoo mail is notorious for this. So I'm not going to use them anymore.

#2 is a much more serious issue going on with LunarPages the hosting company that hosts aw.org and vacuumland. Please see this thread. This has been going on since Saturday unfortunately they still do not have the issues resolved. If you would like to follow the support thread please see link below.

Matt what ISP are you using for your internet service? We have Comcast who flushed their DNS server back on Sunday and everything returned to normal. The home page and everything else looks just as it should to me.

Robert,

I appreciate your efforts and am sure you'll have everything back to normal as soon as possible.

Hotmail has also had problems similar to yahoo recently.

That's what makes this so frustrating Keven is the issues with the website are not with the website but the Lunarpages ISP so it is completely out of my hands. There is nothing I can do but wait until Lunarpages completely fixes what ever happened to their main DNS server. I suspect they have fix things, but it can take 96 hours or more for all the DNS pointers to return to normal.

Robert, I'm using ATT Uverse. I come here every day at least and this is the first time I've seen this. I was here Sat. and Sun. and found zero issues. I didn't pay any attention to the thread on Swedish hacking since I had no idea it affected this site, a more descriptive title would have alerted me...
