The KitchenAid dishwasher in Ruth's kitchen was replaced by a D&M Magic Chef unit.... Is it the same age as the KA one ?....sad that it was changed with something like that but I'm also remembering the other thread about D&M units....

No.   Kitchenaid and D&M built machines are V E R Y different from each other.

OK, sorry I missed that detail. 

 

Then I have this question: how are any of us supposed to know which dishwasher is older if you don't bother to include the model number or serial number or photos of both of them?   My crystal ball isn't working at the moment.
