"Slim Silhouette" machine in question

If it is, the next question is, "Who told you, or, how did you learn that this model was called a "Slim Silhouette"? I was tempted to buy this model a couple of years ago when I was there, but the lack of a backsplash lost me. These machines were the BBBBBB BOL's that GE offered every year but never bothered to put them in their retail brochures. I think there's one lower than this with no water temperature control.
Here's a rare cut sheet that I have for the 1957 model. The one at Hans IIRC had an after-market plain metal backsplasher attached to the back of the machine.

Ken this is indeed the machine I bought! Credit for learning it was called the 'Slim Silhouette' goes entirely to you - in an old post shortly after you visited the Hansen's store back in '08 or '09, you had posted some information about it. As always, I am eager to learn more and I thank you for posting the 1957 promo sheet!
Also, you are right about the backsplash - the machine does indeed have this - not sure I'm going to keep that when I eventually get around to restoring it. Of course the '57 Filter-Flo and the '53 Deluxe are in line ahead of it so it may be a while yet... LOL

Paul, unless I've totally lost my mind (which is always a possibility) I never called it a "Slim Silhouette"; I don't know that term although it sounds like something Hotpoint might have used. It's the same width as all the other Filter-Flo's of that vintage (except, of course, it lacks the Filter-Flo which, on a pre-perforated tub machine, isn't such a big deal) so there's nothing "slim" about it. When they started to market the V-12 line they drew attention to the new models' slimmer profile (25" deep down from 27") but TTBOMK they didn't use that term. It's an interesting odd-ball and I walked by it a couple of times before I saw the GE emblem and decided to investigate. I was thinking about buying it for parts, but balked because I was low on funds at that point. I'm glad you got it. I don't know if I've sent a copy of the T-1960 Service Manual to Robert for Ephemera, but if not I'll do it soon so you can see the full breakdown of that machine; it's in there.
Was there anything left there that I might want? I'm thinking of going back there soon because it would be on the way (sort of) when I go to visit cousins in Northampton. Hans told me years ago that he was going to get another couple of crates of parts from store in the Carolinas that he had bought out. Did he ever get them?

Ken, thanks for the diagram! I don't know how I came up with that 'Slim Silhouette' - it does sound like one of those Hotpoint brands though, doesn't it? I'll keep an eye out for the T-1960 washer manual !!!
Funny but that load of parts from North Carolina did get purchased and hauled up to Queensbury - at some point, Phil and I saw them, but they had literally been thrown into a trailer and then hauled to NY state. At the time, I offered to gather a bunch of our Northeast Chapter folks to help with the sorting of them but I never heard back from Hans II... The next time I went there, the parts were gone... I fear most of them were recycled, alas.
As for other large items, there were still a few GE dryers, a wide assortment of refrigerators, and some interesting ranges. Phil and I are guilty of grabbing the pick of the washers...Sorry!
Phil and I are going to be there tomorrow to pick up the rest of our haul, is there anything you are looking for specifically?
