Candid Camera is one of my all time favorite television shows. I uploaded three of my many favorites to share a laugh with everyone tonight. For those who might never have seen this show, a hidden camera filmed people being caught in unusual or outrageous situations where the “victim” didn’t know that the situation was set-up and that they were being filmed.

First was bowling, they rigged it so they can cause a strike to whoever they want. I love the expression on the husband face as his wife keeps getting strikes, each time he looks more pissed off than the last.

This is just hilarious, it’s filmed in a beauty shop in the early 60’s, as women try on wigs the mirror that they are checking themselves out in breaks!

Finally poor Barbara is completely traumatized as she comes out on stage to introduce the speaker to the audience and when her intro is done she tries to exit the stage back through the curtain, but it’s been "zipped up" and she can’t get out!

Brings back memories...

Remember how people didn't go absolutely postal when they realized they got snagged?

I just woke up - this wonderful

Robert,
Thank you. I remember Candid Camera. There was a similar version a few years ago on mTV with "stars". Some of them showed a lot less grace and poise as these simple people did.
People did seem to have a little more patience and tolerance for being made fun of back then...wonder why. Life sure wasn't easier than today.
Those wigs and mirrors...

These are hilarious, especially the bowling episode. I liked the episode where men would stop to help a lady whose car had broken down on the highway. When they would pop the hood, no engine!

These were hilarious! Thanks for sharing them!!!

I always thought that this would be a great Candid Camera gag..........Candid Camera is set up at a laundromat. They wait for someone to put their wet laundry into a dryer and start it up. An actor comes over to the person's dryer and starts placing their clothes into the person's dryer. When the person confronts the actor, the actor explains that he ran out of change, but noticed that there was plenty of room still in the person's dryer, so he thought he'd put his clothes in with the person's clothes. (hee-hee-hee!!)

They were funny.

can you imagine the lawsuits that would ensue today if someone did this. It would be taken out of context.

Thank-you again Robert for your work in preparing these.

It was by watching the original Alan Funt/Derwood Kirby team's Candid Camera as a kid that I discovered Ms. Fannie Flagg. I couldn't get enough of her perfectly innocent and hospitable southern style that would hook the most suspicious types into one of her schemes. Times were simpler then and people weren't onto what Ms. Flagg and her cohorts were up to. Today it's much harder to fool somebody, as the huge productions Ashton Kutcher puts together will attest.
