Very possible the timer has been messed with but I also recall CR's washer ratings back when this model was new, and they used to asterik or footnote certain makes as having a timer that could be manually advanced. Maybe this is one of them. I'm sure the Frigidaire experts here can advise.

Nice of that guy to meet you at I-280 and Saratoga. The inadequacies of that interchange make it one I tend to avoid, but it appears it was worth your trouble to snag a nice machine.

Great Pix Martin!! This is the second Frigidaire 1-18 model I owned.Mine was 6 when I got it and it ran fre of any repairs for 12 years.I replaced the control panel with a WCG5 Custom panel because the older one was pealing off the woodgrain decal.My first 1-18 was the Custom Imperial 3 speed with the matching dryer in coppertone!Those were a pair the buyers hated because the washer twisted and tangled the clothes.They lived around the corner from us and when I saw the set out in their back yard,Jo said "Yea you can have 'em,but get the hell out of here quick before my idiot brother in law takes 'em home.'Everythink he touches turns ta'shit!"I loaded them onto Mark's truck and welauged our buts off.
