Southern Winter Weather
Well,
On Sunday, I went to a friends place to repair his dryer. Got that taken care of and went out to an early dinner. Got back to his place and sat around talking. Next thing I knew, it was after 9 o'clock and the flurries had started. I gathered my tools and dog and took off for Buford. Got about a third of the way home when I hit white-out conditions. Couldn't see anything. Sat in the middle of the road trying to figure out what to do. The longer I hesitated, the heavier the ice began building up on the windshield. I had to turn around and head back to my friend's place. Ended up spending Sunday and Monday night in Woodstock before I felt it was safe to try again. Got home yesterday afternoon. What an experience.
Everything is still closed down today and tomorrow isn't looking any better. So, it appears that Friday will be the first almost normal day we will see in Atlanta.
