If this doesn't make you believe in a higher power, I'm not quite sure what will! I can't play or read a note of music, but this (Charles-Marie Widor's Toccata) always sends chills up my spine! Highly recommended for organ music lovers.

I can't read or play an instrument either-but listening to this peice makes you wish you could!Makes you want to learn. The Widor Toccata is an excellent test for BOTH the organist and organ.Tis is one of my favorite peices to have played on an organ.I think anyone would appreciate this musical peice.

Here is another one

This fellow's approach to Bach is just stunning:

The Widor!

The piece that started it all for me. I knew when I first heard this that I must learn how to play the organ, and that I must learn how to play this piece. I didn't know a note of music and have never played anything before -- that was 14 years ago. Now, if I want to play the Widor well, I must play it thru at least weekly, or do some heavy brushing up before I play it for anyone. I spent six months learning it -- it's one of those things that I say God gave me because there are similar pieces that I have great difficulty with. I wish I didn't have such a busy life so that I could spend more time with the organ.

In this video Frederick Hohman probably does the best job with it I've ever heard. Tempo is perfect and he withholds enough of the organ's power in order to come back into the final section with a great thrust.

If my final instructions are followed I'll be going out to this great music.
