yes that Acme spinner does look like a Maytag drum...and just as solid, it must be the most solid spinner & heavyweight out of all the spinners (or WHIZZERS as the old Mancunians call them) that we ever had over here!!!

We never had many Frigidaire appliances over here but the spinners where the most popular, then the twinnies, and then the Launderama Coloured Washers down the BagWash!!!

Yeah sorry matey it is working fine, the flume is a bit flappy underneath but it works so it is all good I might hang on to this for the winter season

Dont forget the fridges, fridge/freezers & freezers ...... They had quiie a nice range (selection not cooker) in the early 1970s, and the name carries on to this day, although just badged of course. That said I had a Fridgidaire freezer myself from 1989 to 2001 and it worked well, was still working when I got rid of it for the S/S Siemens

Thanks for wake up call Al i never even thought of all the fridges i have seen with this name on them, i always tend to think of American top loading washing machines when I see this name.

if ya ever gerra anuvver spinner in old or new an it works grab it for me bud cos i really do need one. bin on flea bay and they want silly money for em. bin after one for a while now cos my stupid machine wont do a full 1400 spin if its off blance by like a millimetre lol.... feel like screamin some days lol hope ya well mr
