No, I can feel the health benefits already, who the hell am I kidding, my blood pressure must be thought the roof, the steering wheel on the car is full of teeth marks, this is where I smoked the most, while driving to and from work I would get thought at least 7 in the hour journey, ho that sound so bad doesn’t it.

Yep the timer is inside the cabinet..if you set the machine going the raise the lid and then turn off the power, you can still hear the clock-work timer going.
I think Gary's maybe a couple of years later than mine, in the sense that the one i have, has a flat metal lid and and the lid handle is grey plastic with the "Frigidaire" embossed into it..Nice machines though !!
Yep, next year is a must...I couldn't believe the other weekend, i was looking forward to it, but had to whiz off to Geneva for a meeting on the Monday morning..don't like this working lark..LOL.

Timer Where Are You
Well going on what you told Mike keith i tried the spinner and indeed it does run for 4 minutes and then switch off, however i could not see the timer or even hear it.
So I assume it to be near the top of the machine.
Very nice to use and smooth in operation, i span washing tfrom the Keymatic 3023 which spins at 740rpm and The Keymatic 3062 which spins at 1100 to see how much extra water it extracted.
The results certainly justify the effort in using it in terms of time spent in the dryer.

This is extra water removed after the 3062 had spun at 1100, obviously not as much but enough to have a good affect on the drying time

I wonder if the timer is top front near the lid lock etc??
You deffo make a difference spinning everything in "The Whizzer" as they call them in Manchester....John does it all the time in the Creda, and yes less leccy in the dryer!!!
The only machine you cant get anymore water out I`ve found is the Hoover Vision and Zug 1600rpm spin!!!
Let us know how you get on with the patch on the snozzle outlet, this little beaut is awaiting a snout fix!!

Just a quick question
Hi Gary, Matt here, Seamus's partner. Just need to know how you got into the job your're doing to get so many gems. It is somthing I have always wanted to get into but have found so difficult. Any advice wold be great.

I hope you are both well.
My Job is one of those "right place right time" finds, i used visit a site and buy a lot of audio etc from them and in time got freindly with the staff, and one day the lady that ran it said she was short staffed and I offered to help out, in those days the Health & Safety laws werent so tight and anyone could work on a site without any of the now required safety certificates or uniforms.....
that was it Matt, i think the weekend only sites may be a bit easier with the staff, but it varies from county to county.

Hey, it's the classic Frigidaire logo, and it spins the same 4 minutes as the 52/3 Automatic,the WO 65-2. Interesting. And no switches, just close it and run, like ya see in an old cartoon. Very cool.
Mike's white on white is pretty too, the perf tub looking very Maytagesque.

Glad you love the banter but then having been co-pilot in the car around North Canton with you I know that...Lol
yes that Acme spinner does look like a Maytag drum...and just as solid, it must be the most solid spinner & heavyweight out of all the spinners (or WHIZZERS as the old Mancunians call them) that we ever had over here!!!
We never had many Frigidaire appliances over here but the spinners where the most popular, then the twinnies, and then the Launderama Coloured Washers down the BagWash!!!

Yeah sorry matey it is working fine, the flume is a bit flappy underneath but it works so it is all good I might hang on to this for the winter season

Dont forget the fridges, fridge/freezers & freezers ...... They had quiie a nice range (selection not cooker) in the early 1970s, and the name carries on to this day, although just badged of course. That said I had a Fridgidaire freezer myself from 1989 to 2001 and it worked well, was still working when I got rid of it for the S/S Siemens

if ya ever gerra anuvver spinner in old or new an it works grab it for me bud cos i really do need one. bin on flea bay and they want silly money for em. bin after one for a while now cos my stupid machine wont do a full 1400 spin if its off blance by like a millimetre lol.... feel like screamin some days lol hope ya well mr
