Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

they're gorgeous

love the styling and I think that's a deluxe gas cooktop with sensi-temp. Love the styling either way. The window and handle on the oven door are very hot.

You NEED those.
....like another hole in the head, I'm sure, but you could just call it a body modification and be right in style.

Drool ...

Someone took very good care of those. I hope that someone saves them.

That's my favorite appliance color!!!!

Didn't Dick and Laura Petrie have an electric cooktop?

Dan: Stay away from Craigslist. ;-)

A while back that style was posted here....

A slew of brochures, iirc , with the various grades
from plain to fancy. I do remember the oven design being the same , and I think it was Caloric but I'm not sure.
Unless they a are absolutely mint, I think $300 is a tad
pricey. But they are very attractive!!!!

Dan,

They are gorgeous. They'd match your wall phone too.

But darn, you'd have to redo your kitchen to accommodate a wall oven and separate cook top.

Sounds like a fun project and you've got plenty of time, right?!!!

Patrick

No, gas! The electric you're thinking about was a Westinghouse.

But, Dan, I AM helping you out!!! Oh Rahhhhbbb!!!! Go get them Dan. Then you, Millie, and Laura can have fresh baked cookies with your coffee!!! and wait for the Maytag to finish with its load cleaned with Dash, which makes you're wash clean like it's 10 feet tall!!!

I hate people who misuse the term 'retro.'

If that's enough to stand between you and your complete happiness, so be it.

Dan,

You're lucky that I don't live closer or you would have a fight on your hands to see who could get there first with his fistful of money. I say go for it, or you will hate yourself in the morning.

It's A Gas!

Rob and Lauras cooktop was gas. Dan, you owe it to yourself and all your good friends in the club to buy it. Don't let them down!

Oh please!

GAS is the way to cook. With gas you can tell just how much fire you're giving it. With electric, you're guessing. I have gotten used to a smoothtop stove (no comments from the peanut gallery), but I long for the hiss of a gas stove and some jambalaya cooking in a cast iron pot. It's the ONLY way.

Dan... Follow your selfish heart and say "MINE!"

Greg, I appreciate your efforts to keep me on the path of living better electricly, but that's not fair! I think that's an old Seattle City Light demonstration kitchen!

btw, is it me, or is that OPPD slogan "A business-managed, publicly-owned Utility" a bit defensive? Were the people in Omaha afraid that all those public employees were sitting around playing Canasta all day, so much so that OPPD management felt they had to point out that they were "Business-Managed"? My grandfather was an electrician for OPPD, and he never played a hand of canasta in his life......

btw, OPPD scored #1 in the J.D. Powers's thingy for utilties. (City Light was #4) so you should be proud of your electric company.

Can you tell I'm stalling for time?

And, dare I say it? - the lady cook in the "Good Cooks Go Electric" clip looks like she might be on the verge of some sort of angry explosion. Maybe she's fed up with those sooty walls and hot kitchens that are the traditional legacy of the gas range.
