Somebody's Real Proud of their Aqua!

They claim its a "complete" set, but in reality only consists of a wall oven, cooktop, and kitchen sink (I'm not sure exactly how one goes about re-using ceramic tiles). Apparently no range hood, no dishwasher. Even though it all looks to be in nice condition, it's a bit on the "spendy" side. And as we all know, the color is "turquoise", not "aqua".

Turquoise is my favorite appliance color and I've always been partial to GE and Hotpoint push button ranges. Those wall mounted conrols for the cook top one of my favorite designs. (My all time favorite design is the one where the buttons are located on the range hood, but I digress.) All three pieces look very well cared for Too bad the seller is dreaming in terms of his minimum bid. Unless he relists this with a more realistic price, I'm afraid this set is going to be krusher bound.

If you are lucky-you can find items like the EBAY clown is trying to sell for 1/10th the price!--at your local Habitat For Humanity Store.

That's been my experiance, people claim that Ebay is the only way to get decent things like this. My experiance with the vacuum side of the world, I find nicer vacuums in thrift stores, vac shops, and many other places for so much less. I would think this would apply to most appliances and furniture.

I too,as well have had better luck finding vacuums,other appliances and other neat things at the thrift store(like Habitat For Humanity),Salvation Army,etc.Sometimes you find them at antique places as well.You may be able to barter the antique place guy for a better price-rather than the "City Designer" price that Ebay charactor is trying to sell his "Aqua" appliances for.The Ayden "Swap shop" here is another good place to look-but he carries mostly large appliances-he occasionally runs into small appliances such as vacuums.I have bought one from him-An electrolux LX.
