...to complete a set,or just 'cause they want it! Whirlpool model#91820 serial#3769.Was plugged in and working when I picked it up.Looking for $50.00,or something close,or else I'll try EBay. Any takers? BTW,the tag says mfd by the 1900 corporation,of St Joseph,MI.a forerunner to Whirlpool?

Whirlpool was known as the 1900 corp before they changed the name to Wp in 1950 i believe.Whirlpool was the model name of their washers.

I have the matching washer for this dryer if anyone is interested. It will need restoration as I don't collect Whirlpools. I just didn't want it to go to the crusher.
 
Yup, that's the very first Whirlpool dryer, from the late 40's a very nice and rare find. It seems the first Kenmore washer and dryer are slighly less rare than the first Whirlpool for some reason.
 
Interesting that the 1900 Corporation made automatics for Sears for a year before that introduced their first; this must explain why older Kenmore automatics are a little easier to find.

Since they use the belt-drive design, are many parts still available that fit these early machines?
