Freezer weights

The weight of a 21cf chest freezer chimes in at 481 lbs. Reminds me of my first house had one in the basement. Don't know what brand, but it was there when we bought the house and there when we left. Thank goodness it worked, but we never used it as a household of 2

According to inflation calculator $549.95 in 1958 dollars would be same as $4,930.54 in 2020 dollars. 796.5% rate of inflation.

 Scary isn't it?  My folks paid $500-700 for the Frigidaire Custom Imperial range that still gets occasional use, it weighs a lot too much like that freezer.
