Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I think it must be the agitator-mounted dispenser. Note the timer knob that's like the one on the Laundry Centers and on my GMini washer.

Later in the seventies, Frigidaire issued Custom models of the 1-18 but I wasn't aware that they had a Roller-Matic version of it.

I've never seen one either

That surely would have been an agitator mounted dispenser with that control panel.  I also noticed that different knob right away.  Reminds me a bit of the old "Deluxe" model that had the timer dial mounted below the main control panel with the cycles printed on the knob itself.  So many different model variations to choose from.  You'd never find that today!  This picture of the old Deluxe came from club member Pete's collection.

I have one that looks very similar to this one. It has only one temp knob though, but the same timer and timer knob dial. The dial is similar to the one in the second picture, but the writing for the cycles is on the control panel and there is an arrow pointer on the dial. It has a regular cycle and delicate cycle with two speeds, sort of like how Kenmore always did it. I see that this booklet has a date of April 1970, so this must have been one of the very last solid tub models. Were the 1-18 models introduced in 1971?[this post was last edited: 1/29/2017-09:31]
