In the 1940's and 1950's GE produced Product Man service manuals on a monthly basis and at the end of the year they combined products together into a final bound volume. I have quite a few of these bound books and I've started to take these volumes apart to scan each and every page for the Ephemera library. Sonny Service was their cartoon service man that they used occasionally in these manuals.
I've just completed the entire 1952 volume which is broken down into the four sections, Home Laundry, Dishwashers/Disposalls, Ranges and Refrigerators. The 140 page Home Laundry edition is fascinating. Starting on page 36 it has a 32 page reference guide that shows a picture and model # description of every single wringer and twin tub washer GE had ever made, going back to their very first model in the early 30's. Starting on page 131 is a section that describes each and every GE automatic washer from their first and every single change they made from model to model through their AW5 belt-drive line (which later morphed into the Filter-Flos). Also included is a washer serial number list along with the month and year the machine was produced.
The dishwasher, range and refrigerator sections are also equally as fascinating. Here is a quick images of just a few of these pages.
