Speaking of Maytag "Power-Fin" Agitators

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

somethings not right....that has four slots for the filter....meaning its for a large capacity washer, not standard...and also its for the orbital tranny, this is probably from a coin-operated machine

It is, but I'm not aware that there was any variation in the size of the drive block? What do they mean by "short"? The shorter diameter base?

When Maytag went to the orbital tranny, this was the standard agitator shape, I have a couple of the shorter ones in white plastic for the standard capacity tub home machines and the 27" stacked washer/dryer unit. It came with a fabric softener cup, but no lint filter since these machines used the little screens under the agitator. The turquoise lint filter for the standard capacity machines will fit down in this agitator. The Load Sensor agitator came out for the deep tub machines, but this one, in white, stayed in the standard tub models as far as I know. The stupid fins on the column were not shaped right to be of much benefit in my observation and might have been hard on fabrics. I shaved them down on one agitator, but kept the other one "stock" for historical purposes. I sometimes use this agitator in my 806 on gentle agitation for small loads.

The price is no bargain. Dealers' cost at a parts place for the new small one is less than the combined sale price & shipping from this dealer.
