I know this is a silly question...I've been using my Speed Queen AWN 432 for perhaps a year now and I'm quite happy with it. I only ever use the regular or delicate cycle. This weekend, however, I was wondering, what does the Permanent Press cycle do? I can't locate my manual, but curious...I'm sure it doesn't do a partial drain, fill, then spin before the deep rinse like in the old days. Since they lowered the fill level, I can't imagine the Permanent Press cycle would use significantly more water. Does anyone have any idea what the Permanent Press cycle does?

The Permanent Press cycle washes / agitates at normal / regular speed. It spins at slow speed. The reason being is so wrinkles do not set in, which they will at a higher spin speed. the ideal PP fabric is Polyester, like uniform pants or shirts, which get washed and hung up to dry without any ironing. (Hence the term Perm Press)I usually wash my dress shirts /khakis on this cycle, and then hang dry or line dry these items. Hope this helps.
