Speed Queen washer tub tilt

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

eggcrate foam usually works best....some even use carpet padding

easy to cut/trim and attach....

water heater wrap is also effective if wrapped around the tub as an insulator....think in terms of keeping the water hot...

stuff a piece of foam or cotton into the springs, although dryer idler springs cause a sound the most....any chance of calming down vibrations and sound is helpful...

What I did

My 2017 Speed Queen TL does the same, however I have greatly reduced it by filling an empty load to extra large with water and leveling it using the water level as the reference. This will compensate for the springs and should greatly reduce the issue. However, start with leveling the machine's frame first, then by water level next.

Being the kind of picky old man who can't stand to see a crooked picture on a wall or a crooked lamp shade, I will not be able to handle this tub-tilt thing if I ever get those Speed Queens in my garage up and running in my laundry room. The new machine warranty is evaporating as I speak. I guess it depends on how I make it through this cancer thing. It looks promising at this point. But if things go south I'll probably just continue using the Maytags/Norge or whoever made them. The washer has very minor issues. I'll probably sell the Speed Queens. If I do use the SQ's I'll just give the Maytags away for free. I'll give members first crack at any of them if anyone's interested.
