i have to comment on this picture, as well as add it to this thread for the "archives"...
the fabric softener dispenser on this speed queen's agitator reminds me sooooo much of a set of clairol hot rollers my mom had back in the 1970's. they looked like this but the middle had the little red dot. and when the rollers were ready to be used, the red dot would turn black.

oh wow Christina.....I remember those.....my sister had those as well as the big hard plastic bonnet dryer, you had to put it on a table, and then slide a chair into place and sit

That would be a nice buy, but I already have two Maytag A712 sets I need to find homes for. Too many W/D's around, my yard will look like the back of appliance repair shop.
Anyway, I'd rather not slug my way into Queens, paying $20+ in bridge tolls, gas, etc, if I don't really have too.

I just had to look, didn't I?
This is about 2 minutes from where I used to live and about 10 minutes from where I live *now*. If only I knew where I'll be living 2 months from now. But since I don't.
Also, it's new enough that it doesn't have a warm rinse option :-(
That also takes some wind out of my sails.
Further down on the same page is an LG 4.2 cu ft combo. Not a great option, but better than a laundromat.
