Hello,

We just bought this Wringer Washer and it appears that a part or parts are missing from the agitator. I'm hoping that someone on this forum can look at the pictures and tell me what is needed. The agitator was climbing out of the tank yesterday during its maiden wash, so something is missing that will secure it during washing. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Sean...

agitator cap

Hi Neighbor,

I'm in OC. Yes, you are missing the cap to the agitator to keep it in place. Search on Ebay and keep your eyes open. One may pop up.

You may be able to fashion your own with some washers if you can locate a screw that fits the post -- functional, but not cosmetically appealing. Good luck!

Re: Agitator cap

Hello OC Neighbor,

So if I fashioned my own, in addition to the washers, would I also need a rubber gasket?

Thanks,
Sean...

Success!!

Hello again,

I can't believe it. I found one on eBay that was New Old Stock from a man who used to sell the old machines in his business (now closed, unfortunately). So for $7.00 and Free Shipping, we are good to go.

Thanks for all your suggestions and help. I much appreciate it.

Regards,
Sean...

Speed Queen Model 50 Agitator Cap

Hey seanmcd3, do you have a contact for the person you got your cap from? We just purchased a Speed Queen Model 50 that we are going to renovate as a present to a family member. The washer is missing the agitator cap.
Thanks for any help!
