I'm a newbie to old washers. Flea market has 39 bucks on this but needs a new agitator. They say it works. Could I even find an agitator?

Personally when it comes to wringer washers I'd stick with Maytag, but that's just me.

Maytag wringers in various models and state of condition are far more plentiful than SQ. That and thanks to efforts by the Amish and others you can still find parts for Maytag conventional washing machines.

That being said before buying this washer do a quick eBay and other online search to see what parts are to be had easily. You want especially to see if the agitator can be found or will another be easily fitted. Otherwise the machine is of no use regardless of price.
