Where did the term "420" for, well, you-know-what, come from? Not having partaken in many moons, I'm pretty much out of the loop.

I think the term "420" comes from a law enforcement code for the violation that might be charged.

Interesting, I had no idea what the origins of the use of "420" were.

I saw a t-shirt on a website the other day that said:

Columbine happened on April 20--4/20

At my high school, they do a giant panoramic photo of the Senior Class each year--all 300-something of them, framed for the main corridor, a long colorful gallery of graduates.

When the photo came out a few years ago, three students in the front, sitting on the floor were signing with their fingers and palms: One, a four hand; the other, a twosee; and the last, a naught...... 4 -2 -0 , 4/20. The school flipped out, thinking the students were celebrating Columbine. The students were mortified at the charge, saying "Four twenty has always been about weed not shooting." The administration heard and learned more than it wanted to that day.

The ColumbineISTS wanted their massacre to happen on national dope day.
