Anybody have expertise in Speed Queen wringer washer transmissions? Mine seems to be working fine, but occasionally I get a metallic smell when the washer is running.

There are no leaks, but I'd like to know how to check to see if there is enough lubricant in the transmission. If there isn't, then I also need to know how to add it and what type of lubricant to use. Thanks!

Steve, I wish I could help

In your other thread, I was going to say, spray the upper gear shaft with WD 40, and you took the whole thing apart and fixed it! Good for you. I love conventional washers, aka, WRINGERS!!! but have only worked on pumps. Someone will know. Good luck, Man.
